Yeah they'd ruin such amazing classics.
The only ones who may be able to sing it fairly well are Shravan and maybe rohit (not convinced about Rohit).

And you're right, no one else would be able to do justice. Its better if they don't try.

yeah so very handsome ,he was smiling throughout the song - (first standing ,then sitting atop desk and finally laying down😆)-with nutan crying on the other end clutching the phone tightly ..those days the songs had such simplicity that you felt their angst..And the lyrics were so poetic , dil mein rakh lena ise hathon se bhi chooten ,geet nazuk hai mera sheeshe se bhi toote na kabhi.⭐️.uff,how beautiful yet simply majrooh wrote it..amazing..
These golden oldies had such beautiful lyricis,so many amazing lyricists⭐️ majrooh, sahir, anjaan, gulzaar, kaifi azmi and others ...the list is endless...

Well, the idol singers have to keep trying🤔 otherwise how will they improve ,hopefully someone points out their mistakes and they show the willingness to learn ,improve their diction ..

I concur, pjyo. Golden oldies are the perfect vehicle to showcase talent, it was evident when Shravan and Rohit sang "Laaga chunri mein" with so much elan. Also, the lyrics are so connected to the song. One has to feel them to sing the song effectively. So I agree it will be good training for these singers to improve on their diction and connect to the songs. In fact, in the thread for choosing a song for the contestants, I have picked only the classics.
I only wish the channel would take cognizance of this and think about having at least one oldie special dedicated to either a music director, lyricist, singer or actor from yesteryear. It would be great learning for the younger generation that probably doesn't even know these songs, they could get introduced to such amazing music!
