I think the problem is that movies that dont need or deserve a sequel - are getting a sequel. Nobody want a sequel to Rock On, Force or even Tum Bin! ...Thats were the issue lies.

Where as a film like ETT was left very open in its ending and the demand is there for it!

But yeah, I think for the most part the era is over. Its time for the industry to pull up their socks and create ACTUAL quality cinema! You know... like do actual work instead of being lazy.

None of the sequels barring a few were ACTUALLY A SEQUEL (continuation of the plot) to begins with. So yeah, I'm glad if it's over.

Still wondering why can't they make a proper sequel to films instead of naming it a sequel and have different sets of actors (actress mainly) 😕

The idea of sequels were great.. it was intended to move the story forward.. maybe cover the loopholes.. and so on.. but they missed it up when they made sequels that had nothing to do with the original..

I am not a fan of sequels that completely presents new characters..stories and it has nothing to do with the first one.. why even call it.. sequel??
