That was such an emotional episode!
The way Atharv and Vividha love each other just takes your breath away. I think you can call very few stories legendary, but ViTharv's love story truly is epic. They not only love each other, but are devoted to each other with their souls. Their love story hurts.
Today, Vividha continued off from where she left off yesterday telling Atharv what she thought of him and his idea that she loved Ravish. She didn't hold back and told him exactly what was in her mind, starting from when he had taught her how to think for herself and make her own decisions and not depend on anyone else. She wanted to know how he could make such a big decision of her life on his own without asking what she wanted. She berated him about not being able to read her eyes despite always saying he could. He couldn't differentiate between respect in her eyes for Ravish and love for him.
And Ravish was not left out. As he tried to say something, she told him not to say anything either. She said to him that if all this hurt and pained him, then why was he being so mahaan. Who told him to get her and Atharv married in the Vashisht house. Did he not understand that his constant sad looks were understood by everyone. Why was he so adamant on getting Atharv and Viividha married!
In the end, Vivi had enough and told both men she wanted neither of them. She'd had enough of both. She ran into her room angrily then broke down, her tears betraying what was in her heart. She was devastated by Atharv's rejection.
An angry Sujata confronted Atharv demanding to know why he was behaving so stubbornly. Couldn't he see how much Vividha loved him. But Atharv kept on arguing back, telling his mum that Vividha loved Ravish too .But Sujata did not give up with her questions and Atharv even went to the extent of telling her that he had fallen out of love with Vividha.
But Sujata knows her son too well. No matter what, Atharv could never stop loving Vividha. And as she asked him if he had gone mad, he finally blurted it out.
He was dying.
The scene that followed between mother and son was heartbreaking. Atharv explained to Sujata that he had gone to the Doctor with a severe headache and he had told him that due to a septic nail in his brain he only had a few months to live.
As a crying Atharv held his devastated mum, he told her that he was doing all of this for Vividha. He loved her so much but he couldn't marry her for her to end up as a widow. He knew Vividha loved only him and not Ravish, but he couldn't destroy her life and that's why he was pushing her towards Ravish. His whole life was just Vividha and his mother. It was heartbreaking to watch.
Finally, Atharv went to Vividha's room to convince her yet again that she loved Ravish. Vivi simply told him to go away but when he persisted, she gave him an incredulous look.
No one can love Atharv like Vividha does and in the same way, no one can ever love Vividha like Atharv does. He will sacrifice his love to ensure that she never experiences any pain due to him. She is his world and he would rather separate from her then see tears in her eyes. He knows how much she loves him and he knows she would rather live as a widow, then marry anyone else if she knew the truth so he needed her to hate him. This is true love. This is real sacrifice. Giving up something that was yours, not giving up something that you never had any right to.
Atharv Sujata. You are an amazing and wonderful man whose love for Vividha is truly epic.
P.S. Vikram and Shivani were magnificent today. Truly brilliant actors.
