I strongly think that Ashwin is still very much alive and wants to cause havoc in Maya's life. Its completely plausible especially if Ashwin took sedative of some sort...falls on the pyre and then Ashwin's body moves away from it explains why he didn't stayed there long. He would have got burnt otherwise.😆 Everyone were shocked to check if he was actually dead or not. The inspector definitely joined hands with Ashwin to make everyone believe that he is dead...as far as post mortem report is concerned...fake too. Inspector was bribed with money and also would be able to take revenge on both Arjun and Maya.
As per Jhanvi joining hands with Ashwin...he himself said that when he was trying to shoot Arjun on his Mehndi day that its too easy to win back his wife. So, when Jhanvi confronts Ashwin with a gun, he had again manipulated her into believing that all that wealth he is asking for is for them to live happily ever after or some other story maybe. I can't say whether she joined hands with him way before or on the wedding day, but would be interesting to see how the plan unfolds.
By doing all this Ashwin wants to show everyone that Maya indeed is mad...so she will be sent to mental asylum and then all the property will automatically go back to Jhanvi. I don't think when Arjun & Maya signed those property documents that Saanjh processed those papers legally just yet...because she buys that theory that Maya is mad and the transfer agreement would be invalid.
Note: Mauritius pandit who died a sudden death...could also be a master plan from Ashwin and leaving Maya's earring at the temple...could also be linked to him. If you remember he was hatching a plan when Maya was leaving for Mauritius. Making up with Jhanvi and saying that he loves her all that is also a part of the plan.
The car accident on the wedding day when Vandana run away from Ashwin could well be someone unknown where the police inspector could have used that body for a fake post mortem report for Ashwin.
On the whole, the story could follow either of the two paths:
1. Maya is been made mad...is sent to mental asylum and Arjun loses his will to live and moves away to some remote place and Saanjh too tries to move on in her life as a lawyer...this is where the next series begin where Maya somehow finds out that Ashwin is still alive and her journey to get out of the asylum and rescue Arjun from his solitude and reunite with him and finally to take revenge from Ashwin, Jhanvi and the inspector.
Or
2. Saanjh helps to find answers with Maya and Arjun that Ashwin is alive and also find out that Jhanvi and the inspector are also involved in this scandal. Maya and Arjun would live happily ever after. Season 2 of Beyhadh would be a fresh story.
