As you all know by now, Vividha is my favourite. But initially, I didn't always love her this much.
I remember when I first started watching the show, it was Atharv Sujata who impressed me. His respect towards his mum and women, and his thoughts blew me away. Vividha was the typical bubbly girl next door, who the hero began to fall in love with.
But the Pushkar track changed all that. I remember being wowed by this girl who defied her father and went all the way to Pushkar just to help Atharv get a calf back. And as the show went on, Vividha amazed me with her strength but most of all her love for Atharv. She not only loved him, she was devoted to him with her heart and soul. Even when she was forced to marry Ravish, not once did she make me doubt her love for Atharv. Everone called baby Atharv paagal, but Vividha was equally as paagal in her love for Atharv despite his condition.
And today, she made me so proud. As she stood there and asked Suman why she was taking down the decorations, my heart filled with even more love for her. And when Suman questioned her about marrying a paagal, Vividha defiantly told her that she would. In whatever state he was, whichever way he was, she would marry him. I loved the look and determination on her face. She wasn't marrying Atharv out of pity or obligation, but out of pure love. She didn't care how he was. She was only his.
I loved Vividha's conversation with Uma and Sujata. Even thought they both tried to dissuade her from marrying Atharv, she stood firm. As far as Vivi was concerned, she and Atharv became husband and wife when they fell in love.
I also liked Vividha's talk with Ravish. When Vividha told him that everyone thought she was mad, Ravish understood because he could see how much Vividha loved Atharv. Like she told him, her life began and ended with Atharv.
And Atharv is still in his sacrificial mode. He revealed to Sujata that he was acting as a baby and she was shocked. When he told her that Vivi and Ravish loved each other, she tried to tell him that this wasn't true but he just didn't want to believe it. He'd made up his mind and now he wanted Sujata to stop the wedding.
If only Atharv would step back for one second or talk to Viidha he would see how wrong he was. He would see that Vividha lives and dies for him and that without him she is an empty shell. Her love was, is, and will always be for him.
The ironical thing is that Atharv loves Vividha just as much as she does. He's doing all this drama for her happiness because he thinks his love is one-sided. You want to smack him but your heart also goes out to him at the same time for completely misunderstanding the situation. It truly breaks your heart because Vivi just wants to be with him and he is pushing her away.
In the pre-cap Vivi smilingly tells Atharv that they are getting married but he shouts no.
