It would have been revolutionary had she chosen the Salman character despite her husband being such a good guy. It would have been for her and her alone.

But she would have been branded selfish, a wh**e in capital letters and an adulteress without anyone taking into account her father's high handedness or that she was separated from her true love in a cruel way. Her upbringing would have been questioned, she would have been trashed that she brought dishonor to both the paternal and sasural families by her actions. With such a loaded background, I don't think her decision was clear cut as husband vs lover. She settled, in a way sacrificed her love for others. She was lucky that in doing so she was doing so for a husband who truly loved her vs another selfish version of her father who put the family honor above his daughter.

One more side of the story is - There are 2 types of love - fierce, passionate, MADLY love where expectations are as high as sky and everything is OTT, the kind of love which is driven only by heart, passion and emotion. And then there is the type of love which is like an ocean, calm, subtle, silent gestures etc. It's upto individual how one likes it.

Why HDDCS ending seems meaningless to me is - Nandini WAS the former type - she loved it loud, on-the-face. Sameer was perfect match for her. However, she totally transformed herself to make a match with Vanraj. This was ridiculous to me. 🥱 I cannot imagine the Nandini from the first half with the Nandini of the second half. Second half Nandini who went into a shell was perfect for Vanraj, hence she chose him - fair enough. But I personally cannot like such kind of people who changes their colours faster than a chameleon.

It's not just Nandini chose Vanraj over Sameer, she also chose it for herself to 'be' someone else with Vanraj than what she was till 2 months back, till 25 yrs of her life (Approx?). 😕

😆😆😆 Exactly they made all the love between Nandini and Sameer- fake or useless at least from her side. How can someone transform in a split second?😕

The 2nd half was really bakwas and only made to prove shaadi is above all- love also. Then why the hell men break marriages🤢?

She gets married and then tortures poor Sameer by re-entering his life thereby giving him hope, only to dash it off swiftly.😡
