DeepikaPadukone and Priyanka Chopra are at a silent war zone. No, they aren't fighting with each other but they are the two strongest contenders for most of the international projects being planned out of India.
And Siddharth Anand is all set to begin work on his next - an Indo-Chinese project which will star Mermaid fame Chinese actor Deng Chao. Siddharth has told Filmfare, "Yes, it's a cross-cultural romance set in Beijing. I'm excited to explore and showcase another culture through this film. Our Chinese producers have suggested Deng Chao's name but we will take a final call when I visit China."
He also added, "The film will have an A-list actress who already has an international presence, so it could possibly be one of them." Now, we hear that Deepika has beaten Priyanka in that race.
DP has pipped PC and will now star in the Indo-Chinese project. Deepika who just debuted in Hollywood with xXx might have signed her next big international project. As for PC, she doesn't need to worry. She has Baywatch coming up and then, her Quantico stints are obviously there too!

Ever since Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone started making waves in the global scene, both of them have been constantly pitted against each other. Stories of their rivalry have been floating across all quarters even though none of them have said anything against each other. However, there's definitely some fierce yet healthy competition between the two. And it seems both of them were being considered for Siddharth Anand's Indo-China love story. And it sources are to be believed, DP has been finalized for this project. Previously, Mr. Anand had told a leading tabloid, "The film will have an A-list actress who already has an international presence, so it could possibly be one of them."
The movie seems to be tentatively titled Love in Beijing and is apparently a love story between an Indian girl and a Chinese man.
