Part 1
" We are about to land at Pune , hope you had a pleasant flight. Please fasten your seat belts for landing. " The dreaded announcement had the already nervous young girl clutch tightly at the armrests and dig deeper in her seats.
" Its been quite a smooth flight and we will be landing safely too" said the stranger in the seat across the asile.
As the plane landed and all passengers started leaving the girl continued to sit in her seat without moving. After the plane was empty the stanger approached her " you need to get off the plane now, this was the last stop you know?!"
" But I don't want to go.....they will be waiting for me ! I hate him a...an..and dont want to get marrieee...d" she stuttered.
" Surely you can't be old enough to marry...they can't force you"
" You don't understand....I turned 18 yesterday and now they want me to marry Frog face so that they get the farm"
" But what about your family won't they help you"
" I dont have a family ....my only family is my aunt and she is too scared to say anything to her husband......and now he will make me marry his son"
" Ok don't worry...just follow my lead....and agree to what ever I say, I wont let them harm you"
He led the young girl now clinging to his arm off the plan and into the airport building. Collected both their bags and started moving out, when he felt his partner not move an inch..." they are here" she whispered.
" Oh them...dont worry just smile like a good girl and remeber to agree with me"
" easy for you to say...he is not your uncle and you don't have to marry frog face".
" Trust me...oh by the way my name is Jai, Jai Walia"
As soon as the stepped out of the baggage area with Jai pushing the trolley with one hand and holding the girl's waist with the other they were faced with a sour looking man of about 50 and a younger version of him " Frog face I presume" he whispered...and she nodded.
" Get your hands off my niece" said the old man
" And who are you to tell me to take my hands off my wife? " replied Jai

Part 2
" WIFE !!!! you are lying. She wasn't married when she got on the plane. I will have you arrested for kidnapping my ward" Shouted the old man
"And you are ?" was the only response he got.
" I...I am her uncle Raj Choudhary and her legal gaurdian...and this is my son Sam... Bani's fianc"
" Is he your uncle Princess?" asked Jai
" O...only by marraige, and he HE is not my fiance. They just want to take the farm away from me" replied Bani trying to hide behind him.
" Ofcourse not ...how can he be your fiance we are Married " saying so Jai turned toward Raj " Hi, I am Jai Walia , Princess' new husband"
The look on Raj and Sam's face was priceless.....Bani thought " swallow that mister"
" how can you be married...she is underage and I her guardain have not given you the permission to get married?" Raj thundered.
" Well you forget...she turned 18 last nite and we got married this morning before boarding the plane" responed Jai.
"And now if you will excuse us...my wife and I have a honeymoon to get to and a few announcements to make....we will be back on the farm on Monday, to meet you" said Jai and started moving towards the exit leaving a stunned Raj behind.
" What do you mean you are going away...comeback here you can't do this...." he shouted.
"I can and am...and by the way...please be ready with all the farm accounts on Monday...I will have my team look at it...you can expect us by 3pm" Jai said.
"Princess...was there anything you wanted to tell your uncle before we leave" he spoke softly to Bani
" Bye uncle Raj" braved Bani and walked with Jai towards the parking.
He took her towards the waiting car and after storing the baggage...turned around to see a shaking Bani ask " do you think I should take the pills now"
" What pills"
" My aunt says I ...I ..am hy...hyperactive so need to take the pills to keep me calm" replied a now shivering Bani.
" You are too young to be taking any pills , get in the car now"
" But w...whhere are we going?" ...... she asked in a scared voice
" Weren't you listening to what I was telling you uncle....on our honeymoon ofcourse" he replied with a poker face and started driving.

Part 3
"Don't let it all get to you" murmured Jai, looking at her shocked face, trying hard not to laugh.
" I – its hard not to" she whispered back, feeling safe and warm after a long time.
" Now then. Tell me all about it" His invitation was extended behind a warm smile.
" you mean about them?"
" well, more than likely I mean about you, and then about them. Start at the beginning"
Bani almost said "yes sir". And then mentally clicked her heels. "Well, in the beginning there was my dad and I" she started and then stopped to think.
" And whatever happened to your mother?"
" I guess I did have a mother, but I don't remember her. She died when I was born. It was always just me and my father"
" ok….then what happened?"
" Baba – he was a soldier you know. And he owned a farm. He was an officer in the Army, flying helicopters and things like that. And when he was sent to places where he couldn't take me , he would leave me at a hostel in Panchgani until he came back. And then he was posted to Kashmir and he didn't come back."
" Oh wow! How old were you then?"
" I was – I was thirteen when he left. Fourteen when they sent word that he couldn't come back. And then Bua…his sister Leela came. She was different then. She took me out of school, and we went to the farm outside Pune"
" what school did you go to then?"
" Why , no school. We just lived at the farm. Bua and I. She had no money of her own, and she was - -----well what can I say you will see for yourself. I never did understand it, Baba was a very handsome man. Leela Bua, she looks like ----- but it was nice on the farm. I helped with the horses….we used to breed and train race horses. It was before they – well just before. And we were happy. Bua and I. Then uncle Raj came along. He took one look at bua and two at the farm, and they got married."
" You don't care for your uncle?" queried Jai
" I – he – he liked to – touch me," she said reluctantly.
" Oh damn! One of that kind!"
" It wasn't so bad. It's a very big farm and I could keep out of his sight quite easily. But then, when I was sixteen he found out somehow that all the property belonged to me and bua didn't have anything. That made him terribly angry at both of us. And that's when Sam appeared"
" Ah! Sam is Uncle Raj's sun – a Choudhary?"
" Yes. He had been married before ….many years ago – I think. At least, he said Sam was his son."
" All right you needn't tell me the rest. They all decided that you ought to marry Sam. Right?"
" yes, how did you know?"
" It wasn't hard." Jai laughed but it was a cold glittering laugh with no warmth in it.
" they just kept after me, morning noon and night," Bani went on. " you ought to marry Sam, Bani. Or, You have to marry Sam, Bani. Things like that. And then - he would chase me too....onely ther was one thing in my favour. Sam is afraid of horses, so if I could get to the stables I was always safe. And then - " She was fighting to keep the tears out of her voice, and having little luck. " And then they said I should go to Mumbai to sign some legal papers - and when I come back I would have to marry Sam!"
" So why didn't you just disappear? run away"
" With what?" she asked scornfully. " you can see what I am . I don't have any courage to go out on my own, and I don;t have a single paisa to my name. Look at me! They laugh and call me the little hieress, and look - " she funbled in her purse, " I 've ten, fifty....hundred and 12 rupees to my name. Where would I rung to? What would I do? I don't know a thing about anything except horses."
" And you haven't been to school since you were 14 right?"
" Not a day. I read a lot, but thats not schooling" she fumbled ...thinking why didn't I run away? Why couldn't I work up enough courage? why? why?
One of Jai's hand moved across the seat to pat her head gently. " Poor Kid"
Oh, my God, thought Bani now he is going to pity me. I don't want that. Anything but pity - I'd almost rather go back to uncle Raj.
He felt her withdrawing and gently said " Don't fight it, Relax"
" why did you say that?"
" Say what?"
" That we - that we were married?"
" Hey, that was a little far fetched, wasn't it?" he chuckled. " But we had to give them some surprise - and you'll admit it worked"
To be continued....
Part 4
" for the moment." she smiled, remembering the look on Uncle Raj's face . And Sam! " I thought Sam was going to fall down with shock"....and she stopped suddenly as the serious side hit her.
" But its only delayed you know. I will have to go back sometime and they will still be there... and then whats going to happen?"
" Well that depends on you Princess....on how you want things to be." replied Jai.
" Why do you keep calling me Princess?"
" That's a different story all together...which will keep for the mement. I will tell you one of these days. What do you want to have happen? Would you like me to go with you on Monday and talk to the Choudarys again? To get them off your farm? Can you manage the farm on your own without them?"
" It - it doesn't take any running." she admitted softly. " we don't breed horses anymore. Four years ago they - somebody found oil on our land. Everything is run by Axis Oil Company now, its under a lease you know.We just have the house and fifty acres of farm and the old stable. They lease the rest. And"
" And what?"
" Would you really go with me?"
" Would you want me to?"
Would I want to be Miss World...or would I like to walk up the front stairs with your my arm through yours like one of the heroines come to reclaim all thats hers and make them shiver like they have made me? Would I like that!
" Yes I would like that very much!" she replied happily.
" It will cost you something!" He chuckled. " There is a fee."
" I - I guess if I - I suppose there must be some money in my bank - that is if you won't charge too much ?"
" Oh, I charge a great deal, Princess. But it is not money I want from you, you know."
" I Know? How would I know? but I want you - I have to have you come with me , or I can't go myself. So tell me what your price is?"
" Very simple," he said with a serious face, his dark eyes following her every move..." I want you to comewith me to my grandmother's house for the weekend and stay there pretending to be my wife . "
to be continued...
Part 5
Bani looked at him, her eyes wide " To be your wife? To – I don't understand."
To be your wife? What he means is he wants me to – to share his bed for the weekend. And I thought he was my knight …my own true knight in shining armour.
" Did you know that your lips move when you talk to yourself?" he asked.
" Hah!" It was impossible for her to find anything else to say. I'm so tired – so tired. He wants me to be his temporary wife. What a nice name for such a mean position! He wants a weekend mistress, and like all those older men he wants somebody young. I should be angry ….very angry. Then how come all I want to do is sleep…just now.
" what kind of pills does your aunt give you?" demanded Jai.
The question came out of the blue and he seemed angry. It was the last subject she expected. " I don't know" she mumbled sleepily. " There were all kinds – some little white ones, and then some yellow ones, and then some blue ones too. I never asked the name because – " Because I can't keep my eyes open another minute. Bua gave me two of the yellow ones this morning and I can't talk anymore.
Slowly like a rag doll she began to lean against him and fell asleep holding on to his arm with both her hands.
He sat perfectly still till he was sure that she is sound asleep. It was hard to keep the satisfied smile off his face. There was no doubt about it, she was perfect for the part. True, except for her nose she had the vaguest similarity with Reena. But Grandmother was almost totally blind. She had an aura around her …that made him realise she was perfect for the part. An innocent beauty, full of spirit and loveliness, and that was something Reena never was. It would work! It had to work! There wasn't time for another search another replacement.
Eighteen? She'll set the male world on fire by the time she reaches twenty one. A slender figure , tall for a girl and those eyes…..Get a grip Jai…she is just a child …too young for you. Get on with the masquerade and then get her home. That pair of dudes who thought they could milk the child of her inheritance are in for some surprise! He whistled under his breath as he turned out of the parking and moved on to the airport road towards his destination.
Bani woke up after twenty minutes or so and then came brightly awake. The car was moving along a pot holed road towards a village/ farm. For a moment or two, wide awake she savoured the comfort and nuzzled closer to him. Then she began to think and instantly started turning red….and muttering a quick apology pushed herself back.
" No need," Jai laughed softly." I enjoyed it all….even my arm went to sleep" he said flexing his arm. " feeling better?"
" Yes, where are we?"
" About 5 kms from my grandmothers farm…and twenty kilometres north of Pune" he pulled the car to the side of the road and turned towards her. " You said you couldn't go home alone ?"
And continued after her nod of agreement, " you want me to come with you and de - louse the place for you?"
Bani giggled …. " we still have some pesticides leftover at the farm, is that good on humans?"
" Calm down" he sighed " it was an unfortunate choice of words" and continued watching her face closely…. " We'll go over there on Monday, and I will stay over till everything is sorted out to your satisfaction."
" Are you a lawyer?" her eyes widened…surely lawyers can sort out people.
" No" he replied " but I have a couple of lawyers working for me. Not to worry – it's the weekend between now and Monday I want to talk about."
" oh" He could see her face drop. " I'm – not sure I can pay your price" the words came out fast and jumbled " I – I don't have any experience at that sort of thing" she was trembling now.
" Of course you don't child" he snapped. That brought her head up…Angry? I'm the one that ought to be insulted she thought and he is getting angry?
" Look here" he said " this is strictly a business proposition, nothing more. You are too young for me little lady."
To be continued…
Part 6
" Now Bani, don't get any ideas I had gone to Mumbai to hire an actress to do an impersonation for me, but I couldn't find any one suitable until I met you on the plane, that is." There was a parental chuckle in his voice.
" You want an actress? I dont know naything about acting"
" That's what makes you perfect for the part"
She looked up at him, measured what she saw and after she was satisfied " Ok" she said, " tell me about it"
" It's my grandmother," Jai began. "She's eighty five and living in the old family home just down the road. She's dying , Bani. The doctors tell me that she'll be lucky to make it through the weekend. And she is dying troubled." He stopped and examined her face looking for some change in expression. " My grandmother raised me from a baby. Me and Reena Sharma, her best friends granddaughter. She always expected Reena and me to marry, but that was never on my mind. Anyway, a bigger fish swam into sight, and Reena departed, for unknown parts, as they say. That was eight years ago and my grandmother still grieves. I want her to go with a clear mind. And that's where you come in."
" You want me to make believe we are married and that I am Reena? Do I look like her or something?"
" Not a bit," he chuckled, " which is something in your favour, believe me. Don't worry on that - Grandmother is blind, slightly deaf, and completely bedridden. I'll present you to her, you'll wear Reena's favourite perfume and we'll play it by the ear. Love is what she needs, and you look like what she romanticises Reena to be. You're almost exactly Grandmother's dream. Well?"
It was a request Bani couldn't dismiss , but she hesitated " There won't be any - I - Being your wife - there won't be any hanky- panky?"
" Hanky- panky?" he threw back his head and laughed......." I didn't know people actually talked like that these days," he roared. " No, princess there won't be any hanky- panky. There are other people in the house and outside her bedroom everthything will be as decorous as can be. Well?"
When she couldn't think of any excuses to refuse , she said yes.
" yes? No yes but? or yes and ?"
" No when I make up my mind I don't quibble, its just yes."
" Thank God for you," he said as he started the engine ." What in the world have I been doing, fooling around with all those other women?"
The car started forwarded." Waiting for me to grow up?" suggested Bani.
To be continued.
Part 7
He started the car and soon drove onto a long driveway leading to an old fashioned haweli.
" Oh this looks like the palaces in Rajasthan!" Exclaimed Bani.
" Yes, it was modelled after one…my great grandfather had it build for his Rajasthani bride almost 100 years ago…this has been our family home since then." Replied Jai bringing the car to a stop in front of the imposing door.
They got out of the car and Jai led her up the stairs and down a hall leading to the kitchen, where a middled aged lady stood baking.
" Jigyasa, how is Dadi?"
" The same" she replied turning…." Been restless and asking for you….don't come closer I am covered with flour!"
" Bani, this is Jigyasa, she looks after the house and her husband Aditya..takes care of the farm. They live here with Dadi. Jigyasa this is my wife Bani."
"Hey bhagwan….wife? How when where….." she started to be cut short by Jai. " yes my wife we got married in Mumbai today morning."
" this is just what didi needs to hear…take her up, the nurse should be coming down any moment for her lunch. God bless you. Bani welcome to the family."
" Ok we'll go up now…and then talk to you."
" Should I keep the lunch ready in half an hour?" she looked towards Bani.
Seeing Bani rooted to her spot, Jai gently nudged her to respond. " Half an hour sounds good." Said Bani, quickly getting into the role of the lady of the house.
As they walked up the imposing staircase Bani couldn't help but wonder what has she got herself into…but got no chance to speak further as she was pushed into a room.
" Is this your room?" she thought aloud….. " NO" came the emphatic reply…as she looked around the room in white and pink with elaborate furniture and silk curtains.
" This was Reena's room Dadi kept it as it was hoping that she will return one day," she moved towards the dressing table and offered her a bottle of perfume. " here you should wear some of this….Dadi will recognise this".
When she made no move to take the bottle from his hands he looked up realising she didn't know how to use one…so helped her apply some on the wrists and behind the ears.
Satisfiesd he held her arm and walked out of the room towards the one a little ahead. Slowly opening the door...he peeped into catch the nurse's eye.
" Ah ...Jai, come in, she has been asking for you, I see you have brought a visitor with you, that should cheer her up a bit." Said the nurse.
" Why dont you go have your lunch, we will sit with her."
" Jai....is that you?" came a weak voice from the bed.
" yes dadi...and I have a surprise for you." Replied Jai, moving towards the bed and pulling Bani along.
As Bani walked towards the old lady, she heard her mumble " Princess! is that you? Jai did you bring Princess back" and she held out her hand which Bani reluctantly held.
" Yes, Dadi I found her and she is back where she belongs...now you need to get better soon to catch up with her..." Dadi was busy running her hands over Bani's and she stopped at the rings..." Jai are these my mother's ...does this mean you two?"
" Yes Dadi, we got married today...and Princess will stay with you now." Jai replied , thanking his foresight in making Bani wear the rings before stepping into the house. " You need to rest now...we will come back to see you in the evening." Saying so he stood up and indicated Bani to follow him.
But Dadi refused to let her hand go...and asked her to stay a little longer. Bani nodded and told Jai that she will join him downstairs. When the nurse peeped in an hour later she found Bani sitting with the old lady as she slept.
" You go down and have your lunch...I will take care of her now. She won't be up before evening now." said the nurse kindly.
Bani nodded and gently withdrew her hands and moved towards the door.
Once downstairs she found Jai and Jigyasa sitting in the family room talking over a cup of tea..." Bani, you must be hungry ...have some tea while I lay your lunch." said Jigyasa rising from her chair.
" Can I have some milk....and I dont want any lunch" replied Bani.
" Of course, I will just get the milk" replied Jigyasa smiling at Jai over Bani's head.
" Come sit with me...you must be exhausted, once you have had something to eat I will take you out to relax in the garden...it quite pleasant there at this time." said Jai gently.
Bani sat down beside him and took the milk and sandwiches that Jigyasa had carried in for her. Finishing her milk she looked at Jai....who was smiling strangely at her.
" what?"
" Nothing you have a milk mustache...here let me wipe it for you" he moved forward before she could react.
Satisfied with his handy work he lead her through a large garden towards the seat under the banyan tree.
" Lets sit here"
" It was her name right? Thats why you kept calling me Princess..." started Bani .
to be continued....
Part 8
"You mean Reena's…yes we did call her Princess….and she behaved like one too" he said sardonically.
" Oh wow! Are those your horses…is that what you do for a living….can I go near them" she jumped with excitement looking at the horses move freely in the sun.
" Yes, they are my horses and you can ride any of them ….no I don't breed horses for a living…I make my living from my office in Pune…the farm and everything on it belongs to Dadi…except the horse's they are mine."
" Ok…so now what do we do?"
" Tomorrow I will take you to the bank and sort out some details for you…then if you are ok with it I want you to sign some papers so that I can get your Uncle and frog face out of your life."
" Banks open on a Sunday…my you are a resourceful man" she mocked.
" Hey….show some respect here…I am on your side remember" he said with a straight face trying hard to hide his laughter.
" Why don't you rest for a while before dinner…its been a long day for you" Jai started… " it will be time for dinner soon."
As the walked back into the house…they ran into Jigyasa…how was coming back from taking Dadi's dinner…" she wants to see you both after dinner. So why don't you freshen up and I will have the dinner ready"
" Thanks that would be nice. How about half hour…and don't bother with laying out the dinner …we'll help ourselves from the kitchen" said Bani , easily the lady of the house.
Jigyasa smiled her approval at Jai and moved towards the kitchen.
Jai took Bani to the wing opposite the one where Dadi's room was and opened one door…. " why don't you freshen up while I catch up with Aditya about a few things that need to be done at the farm, I'll be up to take you for dinner in a bit"
Bani nodded and moving to her bags to find something suitable to wear. As promised he appeared after half an hour to take her down for dinner….the suit was gone and to be replaced by jeans and a polo shirt. And burst out laughing seeing her wear the same coloured shirt over her skirt. "We even dress married now"
As they made their way down…Bani felt herself shiver and wondered if she should have her pills now… she was feeling uneasy and realised she was thinking aloud when she noticed Jai had stopped walking and was looking at her with and expression close to anger. She quickly lowered her eyes and walked past him towards the kitchen.
Dinner was laid out on the table in the kitchen and Jigyasa smiled "Just in time…I was about to come and call you"
They sat across each other and started dinner once Jigyasa had served them and moved towards the laundry room to give them some privacy.
" I think I need my pills" Bani murmured
"How many time do you need to be told that you do not need any pills…you are fine" thundered Jai …his fork held halfway to his mouth. Is that how husbands shout at their women…is the only thought that came to her mind…she felt more comforted than scared at his angry tone….
" But Bua said I was hyperactive and I need to take the pills and I am feeling a bit strange in the stomach" she persisted…. " Bani …for the last time you are fine…have your dinner and you will feel better" he tried holding on to his temper….wanting to kill her aunt and uncle for getting the child addicted to God knows what!
Part 9
After dinner they went to see Dadi. " She's sleeping" whispered the nurse.
" No she is not" came a weak voice from the bed before they could move out of the room. " Princess, come and sit with me....and Jai you can go do what you love...work some more" she said weakly.
Bani moved towards the bed and sat next to Dadi holding her hand. " I am so happy that you are back Princess...you will keep my Jai happy. I know he likes to be all strong ..but he is a little boy inside...just hides it so that we never feel guilty about leaning on him", " there is so much I want to tell you , hear from you...where were you all these days?" she stopped to catch her breathe.
Bani tried to calm her" why don't you rest for a while and we will catch up in the morning"
" You won't go away while I am sleeping?"
" No, I promise I'll be here when you wake up...and then you can tell me all that I have missed" said Bani trying to put Dadi at ease and get some much needed rest.
The nurse gently shook her and said" she will sleep till morning, having you here has given her so much peace. I'll be with her...why dont you go and rest now. I am sure Jai will be waiting for you" She finished cheekily with a wink , moving Bani to the door.
As Bani moved towards the room where she has changed a sudden fear gripped her...it was ok till now...but do I have to share the room and bed with him. She suddenly stopped.
" Lost?" he murmured behind her.
" N...n..no" she stammered.
" Come along I will show you to the room, and we'll talk there".
" You mean we have to share this room and the bed " she hesitated just inside the room.
Jai couldn't hold it back any longer...he burst out laughing looking at her terrified expression." You are quite something!"
Part 10
"No we don't have to share the bed…but we have to make the room look lived in …you know?" He said seriously.
"What do you mean lived in …its not like Dadi will come to check?" She countered.
"Well when you have servants who have seen you grow up... they tend to dictate…and if Jigyasa found out I will never hear the end of it. Also if word gets out it may reach Dadi which I don't want"
"So what do you think we should do?"
"Like I said we will make the room a little lived in and then I will sneak down the hall, now you go and change."
She nodded and moved to the bathroom with her nighty, hoping he would have left by the time she came out. After pampering herself in the bath for half an hour Bani walked out in her nighty. One look at the other occupant in the room had her wishing her nighty wasn't so old and worn out that it made her feel undressed.
"What are you still doing here and that too in my bed?" She exclaimed.
" We have to make the room lived in and make it real…remember" he reminded…as if she could forget.
" How real do you want it to look?"
"Well just get into bed and lets squirm around a bit…dent the pillows and them I am out of here."
"This better be necessary!" she muttered under her breath as she got in the bed… "Ok start squirming!"
Jai tried to hold his laugh and indicated for her to come towards him and pulled her into his arms and moved a little bit.
After some time she tried to get away and then realized he had gone to sleep… she waited for a while but as the days events caught on she drifted off to sleep.
He moved a little when he realized she had fallen asleep "you have some self control man" he straightened mentally patting his back. As he settled her into a more comfortable postion on his shoulder and pulled the covers closer his hands moved over her body ….he quickly jerked them back remembering who it was. Reminding himself that she was just an innocent child who trusted him he too drifted off to sleep.
She woke to the sound of someone opening the door and looked up to find herself draped on Jai's chest… " time to rise …and here's your tea" she heard Jigyasa . Mortified at being found like this she pulled the covers over her head.
Jai seemed to be least bothered at being discovered like this by Jigyasa who had moved further into the room and was opening the curtain.
"Jai the doctor is here and its not good…so I thought you would want to hear first hand" saying so she opened the door to let an elderly gentleman walk into the room.
"Why are people walking in like it's a railway platform" she thought…but was interrupted by Jai's hand on her shoulder.
The doctor informed them that Dadi had gone into a coma and now it was only a matter to time, could be a day, a week but a month at most.
" I am laying down the breakfast , Jai there is lots to arrange, I'll see you both down in half and hour" Bani sat up and noticed Jigyasa trying to hide her tears and walking out.
Jai went into some sort of shell after that hardly speaking to anyone. His mood had not improved as the drove down to her farm on Monday afternoon.
The only time when he spoke to her was when they went to the lawyers for drawing up new papers.
Noticing her nervosness as they got closer to the farm, he placed a hand over hers and told her to relax. "It will soon be over and you will be free of them"
As they entered the farm they noticed a lady standing near the portico with drooping shoulders and fiddling her hands.
Jai walked to Bani's side and helped her out of the car…offering her comfort with his hands and through his eyes. She stepped out and smiled holding his hand.
" So you are Bani's husband?" the lady started
" Yes, that's me…and you must be Leela Bua? Where's your husband…. I hope he has the books ready as we don't have too much time" said Jai politely.
"What did you do to them…they are gone" Said Leela bua and then burst into tears.
To be continued….
