I hated this movie & its songs with passion ...

Same goes for the songs from Preitty Zinta - Jimmy Shergel starrer movie .. forgot it's name ..

Our school cab driver used to play those songs on repeat .. I got so sick of the songs from these two movies that even today whenever I hear them by accident , I am reminded of just how sick & tired I am of these songs ..

This is the one few films that Darshan actually got something right in. Dont get me wrong it wasnt great as a whole. It has plenty of bloopers they left in the movie without thinking. But compared "Raja Hindustani', 'Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya Hai', "Janwaar" "Ek Rishta" "Mela". This is far better and not a complete waste of time

Few reaons are the songs:

Dil ne yeh kaha hai tumse and Na Na Karte Pyar (excellent chemistry between Shilpa and Akshay)

Aksar is duniya mein (beautiful choreographed with the beautiful Mahima Chaudhary)

Dulhe ka Sehra (powerful voice of Fatah ali khan)

Performances

Compared to the Darshan's other films. Only Suniel hammed here. Akshay was brilliant as the down to earth Ram. And what made the film far superior compared to other films is they got an actress that could bring a mediocre script to life. Shilpa was brilliant. I know I might got slaughtered for saying this on ifey. (Since Shilpa Shetty is underrated and Karishma is highly overrated) But for once the female lead was hamming, giving forced expressions and shouting. The same formula worked for Andaaz too. Far better actresses.
