Is this void that I'm feeling today after he's gone, is this unnamed unusual feeling called Love!
She thought about the times they had been together, beginning with the first time they had talked. He wasn't like any of the other guys in school. He wasn't scared of her influence in the place nor was he too flattery to her. He casually handed out a challenge to her, fully assured of himself that she couldn't match up to it. The Rubix Cube! It held so much importance to her just because it was a sign of the beginning of their friendship. It proudly had secured a place in her treasure that contained almost all of the beautiful memories she shared with him. The treasure was called her 'Memory Box'. Surely he was special but she never knew that he was so special that her life felt to have stopped at the moment he left her behind.
She went back to days Shravan would happily take the blame of her silly misdeeds to some big bunders she committed, on him. As if it was some natural thing to do. The gleam his eyes used to have whenever he was the cause of a smile on her face. The sense of relief he had on his face the day she had accepted his hand in friendship. Maybe she too was special to him so much that she was the one he came running to share his fresh sorrows. A lot had passed on him, she could have consoled him and lessen his pain. What must have he been going through? Wasn't she aware of the pain of losing one's mother? What a thankless friend could she have been!
It had to be more than just Friendship. It surely was more than that. Way more than that.
If you cannot imagine your life without a particular person. If you are willing to wait for him for your entire life. If his mere name can make you go possessive. It had to be Love!
Oh when will you come back! This wait won't be easy.
"Sumo".
"Sumo", he called one more time.
"Shravan? You didn't go!!"
"Nahi Sumo main jane se pehle tumhe kuch batana chahta tha."
"Mujhe pata tha ki chahe Sumo joh karde uska Chashmish usse hamesha maaf kar dega. I'm sorry Shravan, I shouldn't have behaved the way I did in school today. Please don't go. I promise main badal jaaungi. Bas mujhe akela chhod ke mat jao."
"Let me speak today. Sumo main London nahi jana chahta. Bas tumhare liye. Main tumse dur nhi rehna chahta. Chahe tum jaisi bhi ho main tumhe waise hin pasand karta hun. Aur main issi Sumo se pyaar karta hun. Har roz bas iss ummed se udta hun ki aaj main tumse apne dil ki baat kar paunga, kabhi himmat hin nhi ho payi. But if I leave without you knowing the truest feeling I hold for you, it might kill me."
"Main tumse bahut pyaar karta hun. Bahut se bhi zayada. Bahut bahut zayada. Main bas ye janana chahta hu ki kya tum bhi?"
"Bolo na Sumo, kya tum bhi mujhse pyaar karti ho?", he asked extending his hand.
"Shravan", she sobbed wiping her tears, smiling through it she too extended her hand. But he walked back.
Amazed, she moved forward, he retreated some more steps with his hand still held out to her.
"Shrav...Shravan?" and then he disappeared.
"Please mat jaao Shravan. I won't survive. Please I love you a lot. Please ruk jaao."
"Hey.. What happened?", he had encircled her in his arms, tried to wake her up from an awful nightmare.
"Shravan? "
"Yes darling, I'm right here, with you."
She immediately got up and hugged him tighter, desperately kissed him away to make herself sure of his presence.
"Want to talk about it? ", he enquired, concerned.
"Hmm.. Nothing more than the usual," she said basking herself in the smell under his chin, she snuggled closer into his neck.
"Usual?! I told you to accompany me to the London trip. But don't listen to anyone," he said getting angry.
"I'm okay Shravan. Now that you are here I am fine and I myself won't miss to spend a single day without you. I wouldn't want to miss a single moment with you, already have missed so many."
