Nach Baliye is Back! KSG as Host, Kajol, Shimak D as Judges & DD,

The stage is set as Star Plus gears up for the new season of their flagship reality show Nach Baliye - in a new format with new faces. Currently the channel and production house BBC is scouting pair of actors and actresses to
dance as a pair. Many popular faces from television will be seen dancing with Kajol as the judge and Karan Singh Grover as the host of the show.

Famous comedy actress Bharti Singh and fianc Harsh are the first couple to come on board as celebrity contestants. Both recently got engaged. After them, the next to join the bandwagon is TV actor Karam Rajpal and his girlfriend Shivaleeka Oberoi. Karam is currently seen as Shivam on Star Plus show Mere Angne Mein, while his girlfriend works in direction team at Sajid Nadiadwala films.

After Bigg boss 10, Rohan Mehra will be seen dancing in the show with current girlfriend Kanchi Singh. Earlier, Rohan was suppose to be with his ex friend Yuki Kapoor but now since he is dating Kanchi, he will be seen with her. Kanchi and Roshan met while doing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai where they played cousins.


The other pair that has been almost finalised is Deepika Kakar of Sasural Simar Ka with boyfriend Shoaib Ibrahim. They both met while working on Sasuraal Simar Ka. Shoaib quit the show and is making a comeback, this month, with Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai.

While famous TV and Bollywood Karan Singh Grover will be hosting the host his wife Bipasha Basu will be making a special appearance along with him on the opening episode. Karan has been one of contestants with his first wife Shraddha Nigam in the third season.


Along with them the other names doing the rounds are Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya. Since Divyanka and Vivek - both are doing Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, they will surely be one couple to look out for. Divyanka's co-star from Ye Hai Mohabbatien Karan Patel has also been approached to dance on the show with wife Ankita Bhargava. Karan was also in Nach Baliye Third season with ex girlfriend Amrita Chandekar as a contestant. Karan also had hosted Nach Baliye's last season when it was produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Recently married Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchantt have also been approached but owing to monetary issues they are yet to sign the final contract. They have just returned from their honeymoon in California and have to take a final call for the show.


Nakuul Mehta from Ishqbaaz and his wife singer Janaki who were supposed to take part on the last season, also have been reconsidered for the show. Along with them the names being considered are Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani, Arjun Bijlani and wife Neha Swami, Drashti Dhami and Neeraj Khemka. Rubina Dilaik along with boyfriend Abhinav Shukla, Sachin Tyagi and Rakshanda Khan, Megha Gupta and Siddhant Karnik have been also approached. All these couples have to still close their agreements and will be on board soon

Also this time Nach Baliye will have the format of two unknown faces dancing as a couple in the show. That means it's no longer people who are married or dating who can participate in the show.


The show will have actress Kajol as the judge with famous choreographer Shiamak Davar. In the earlier seasons glamorous actresses like Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, Karishma Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Isha Koppikar have been part of the show as judges.

Also on board will be a famous film director. Talks are on with leading bollywood directors. Earlier filmmakers like Farhan Akhtar, Sajid Khan, Kunal Kohli, David Dhawan and Farah Khan have been judges of Nach Baliye on various seasons. While as for choreographers the show started with Saroj Khan, and later Vaibhavi Merchant, Terence Lewis and Marzi Pestonji have been part of previous seasons.

Except for the first few seasons, havent enjoyed watching this show.

Good to see KSG as the host he was really good in Zara Nach Ke, but Kajol as the judge 😕 what does she know about dancing? These dance reality shows are clearly out of good judges now they'll rope anyone who is willing to participate first Jaqueline and now Kajol it's annoying when you can think of more points than the judge 😆 Also I didn't get the format this time, are they switching the pairs?

but she is not articulate at all..she failed to make any valid point ever in JDJ 9

kajol on the other hand may be a better judge..since she is observant but not a good dancer..but i guess when critics despite not being actors can review..so may be it isn't so bad? just thought about it

yeah Jacki was disappointing as a judge she wouldn't add anything useful to the comments I find Malaika better than her. I really miss someone like Madhuri who is observant plus can get technical about the dance forms coz she understands the finer points and intricacies so well. Well if Kajol is observant enough and would make valid points like Kjo I'll be okay with her as well maybe Shaimak is there for the technical stuff.

I still can't visualise all the contestants, guests and hosts trying to impress Her Highness Kajol. 😆

Why Kajol? WHHHYYY? Whats with the dumb decisions. Congrats on your first step towards hasbeenville. Maybe she is broke and needs the money. 😭
