Miley Cyrus chooses Saraswati Puja over Super Bowl!

Miley Cyrus did something unthinkable! She chose Saraswati Puja over Super Bowl!

Well, the puja is performed to invoke the blessings of Saraswati, the Goddess of learning and wisdom.

This day is celebrated as it initiates the spring festival and Miley very well knows the significance of the same. She went to share the pictures and videos from her album of the day on Instagram.

Interestingly, one of the pictures has a caption - "#FruitBowl over Super... #offering."

She made sure that the setting is right for the puja and decorated her house with rose petals and it's indeed impressive.

The singing sensation, a few year ago, had also thanked Indian fans for liking her Facebook page, but her way of performing the puja is something we all should appreciate.

I wish these white celebrities would stop using other people's religion for publicity and their attention seeking games.

Isn't she going to perform in India this year?

This might be publicity stunt to attract Indian audience 😊

Btw several western celebrities also talk at length about their Ramzan fasting and other observances

LOS ANGELES: When people in the US were busy watching the Super Bowl, singer Miley Cyrus was performing a Lakshmi Puja in her house.

Miley Instagrammed a photo from the puja, in which one worships Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. The picture shows a traditional prayer set-up.

"Fruit bowl over Super... offering," she captioned her image.

In another photo, the 24-year-old songstress was spotted carrying large colourful cushions into a building near her Malibu home on Sunday, reports dailymail.co.uk.

Yet another photograph featured a traditional Indian set up with the floors covered in cushions and flower petals.

I view these as making light of religious rituals.. Just like when I hear someone saying I fasted to support my friend.. Dude. you do not fast for your friend.. You do not do pooja simply because you like the colors.. You need to understand the gravity and the meaning that these rituals hold

It's not crazy.Many Americans visit temples regularly and they understand our culture. Miley has always been into yoga and spirituality. She knows what she is doing.

Exactly!I personally have witnessed such things.Just go to rishikesh which is known as world capital of yoga and auroville you will see how amazing these people are!

Best thing is no religious conversion .Don't generalise 'white people'

I think religion and all is very personal, so no comments... she has a right to conscience and a religious belief, and she will hold whatever beliefs she wants according to her perception of it or capacity to understand thereof.
