Just recently I watched Omen. Watching Lee Remick and Gregory Peck, I was struck by how A-lister in Hollywood do not shy from working in horror movies. Why do A-lister in Bollywood shy away from doing horror movies?

Most horror movies in BW are poorly made in my opinion. Half the time I just want to laugh at the "scary" scenes, I find them more amusing then anything else, I can see why most shy away from them. We don't do "scary" to well. People tend to go OTT to show they're scared while acting and it just doesn't work. There's a lack of subtlety in BW.

I think Indian horror movies are still nto that well made. But I do remember "Raat", (1992), directed by Ram Gopal Verma I think. It was one of best horror movies. Also, Raaz by Vikram Bhatt.
