I'm starting to wonder if Tej ever really loved her based on his reaction to her suffering. He keeps proclaiming she did it to herself, but the reality is that he played a huge role. She isn't exactly blameless she wanted to keep her family and the man she loved, but she lost herself when she let herself be treated this way. It's obvious that Jhanvi, Om, Rudra, and Shivaay either cater to him or ignore his antics to keep the family intact, but obviously he wasn't worth the effort (Hindsight is 20/20). I'm still hoping she didn't do this to herself, but it was foul play. It would be sad if she would rather die over such a worthless man than live for herself and her kids.
I think Tej and Shivaay commonality stops at NKK and being businessman. Jhanvi and Tej have a history where she invested so much love and energy into him. She eloped, had three kids with him, and tolerated 30 years with him. I don't think she was expecting this kind of betrayal since she sacrificed so much for the family he so easily threw away. She tolerated everything from disrespect to adultery for her love and her family. Tej indulges himself and only thinks about himself whereas Shivaay never does anything for himself. Right now, he wants her even if he doesn't admit it, but he will never act on it. He is delaying the inevitable to keep her around as long as he can before reality strikes. Anika realizes where she stands in this relationship, doesn't see a future, and doesn't expect anything in return.
If Jhanvi and Tej are an indication for the future for all the 3 brothers, then the one who loves the most suffers the most. To me, Shivaay is more emotional attached to Anika not the other way. The writing is confusing but with the recent episodes I think the writers are trying to say that she can walk away, but he can't function. As for the love realization episodes, she accepted her love, not him or them as couple. So, I think Anika is safe đ
My bet is Rudra, Shivaay, and Gauri are going to be ones to love the most and get hurt in the process. Anika, Saumya, and Om have something to prevent them from loving freely and wholeheartedly (painful past and lost hope in humanity).

Always excited when i see u hv written a post or a story...somehow they r bang on n touch a nerve where i am concerned n today is no different...yup it is a sad irony...but personally i feel d cvs r doing this purposely...shivika tejvi n even rumya r all being compared n contrasted to each other n d discerning viewer can see d similarities n whats in store if they go on like this...no matter how thry got married in d first place...maybe annika is right ...d missing factor is definitely pyaar ...for d person u married or else like shivaay says (but hopefully doesnt mean) it becomes a responsibility a duty...n how can that last n even if it does like in pinkys case is anyone happy...life is meant to be enjoyed not endured but definitely not at d expense of others...ok this turned out longer than i expected...hope i made sense...

Hi, your post just reminded me of my comment on your thread a month(?) or so back...I can't believe I defended Tej back then. Really embarrassed.đł I loathe the character right now, just as I loathe Jhanvi.
I think I was fooled by his soft(er) shades that were shown three or four months back, that even he has (hidden) family values even though he was always an unscrupulous & ruthless character. I thought that even though he doesn't care for anyone else, he still deeply cares about and loves Om...Now I stand corrected. He doesn't care for anyone but himself. So yeah, he is in fact very selfish.đ
See, I don't think comparing Tej to Shivaay is fair. Nor is Annika anything like Jhanvi. As I said in my reply to you before (and now I correct myself wrt Tej), family values are very important. Not just in our culture, but everywhere. And I have always thought that those who don't love and care for their family can care for no one else, because our roots come from there. This is what sets apart Shivaay from Tej and Jhanvi from Annika. Both Tej & Jhanvi LACK family values and both are very very selfish people...
Yes, definitely Tej is a weak link just as Jhanvi is. Both are extremes of opposite poles & each just as destructive as the other.Yeah, I remember your comment on my "Tej , the weakest Oberoi" post. Very understandable, we didn't expect him to become such an easy target for Svetlana. She played him well, but he's about to be handed a huge insult when Om snatches Sv from under his nose. How insulting will it be when he was leaving everybody for her, and she drops him like an old potato. She must be aiming at ruining ties between them completely.I did get a whiff of Svetlana seemingly attracted to Omkara in the early episodes. What purpose would she have in marrying Om I cannot fathom, all the big bucks are with Tej.I still want to know what that secret the two older Oberois are keeping?! đĄ
I hope you noticed the parallel between Shivaay & Om too. They have always had a parallel going on in their difference of reaction to all the family tussles & breakdowns. Shivaay has ALWAYS put his family (and family issues) before himself & focused on being a rock steady wall of support for them. Whereas Om has always fallen weak, indulged in blame games & exacerbated the issues because of his own ideological wars & judgment. He can choose to react calmly & try to solve the issue at hand rather than making it worse. So as I have always thought, he is gonna be the final nail in the coffin for this family as it now breaks apart. And as expected, he is gonna leave the house and finally get a love life. What timing. He should look in the mirror a few times, I'm sure the glass will crack because the mirror will not be able to withstand the reflection of his face.đ
