Didn't mind watching Lala land, as I barely know the actors. However I watched Dangal. A beautiful film with brilliant performances. My preferences towards AK's movies have never disappointed me. He is still a man who does films without the typical BW masala of glitch and glamour, still makes an impact in the box office. There were a series of Pongal releases but none were promising enough to watch except a movie called Dhuruvangal Padhinaaru in Tamil. It has got the best ratings after Dangal. Might try catching it.

Jallikattu is said to be sport linked to Tamil culture, the arguments are that the animals aren't hurt in this sport but tamed. There were reports that the coach of the real Phogat's sisters was unhappy with the way his character was portrayed. Drama ke liye they twist the story to their comfort.

Police were calmly surveying the protest for the first three days, many of the women had said that they were being supportive and securing them at nights. But it was the fourth or fifth day violence broke out. It started with a bunch of men attacking a police station, with events following them one by one with the retaliation from the cops side. Surveillance cameras wherever were placed, have indeed captured some important moments during the protest. It's through them the cops involvement was disclosed. But the problem is it only shows how cops and protesters behaved, but not what provoked them to do it. Many political matters are always covered up like this, the truth never reaches the public


Trump is putting a lot of pressure on IT companies by increasing the minimum wages for the H1B Visa holders. It'll bring more formalities, delays and uncertainties for the Visa holders and increasing salary which is a pressure on the IT sectors as well. My hubby says it'll hamper the chances of many Visa holders going to US, as the firms might hire someone else from locals with the same salary instead going for the foreign immigrants who come with a same package. In fact my Sis and her husband were planning to go there with an H1B, now the chances are looking meek, unfortunately! Is there any chance he might get dethroned from his post before his term ends? I want it to happen as he seems to be a racist, and doesn't deserve the power he has been entrusted with.

Bahubali will be a blockbuster in BO collections, however will the storyline and ending be worthy of accolades by critics which is the big question... They need to reveal the long lasting mystery of why kattappa killed Bahubali, right? If what they show is blah then viewers won't be convinced. Let see!
