I know what you mean, but I didn't get those vibes from it. When she said "Hit me", it felt more like sarcastic triumph to me. It was so cold and almost snarky.
She was taunting him and challenging him. "Come on Big man...hit me now and see what happens". THAT was the vibe I got from it. But yes Jenny did a great job there. I felt that scene. It was amazing. Jennifer so deserves to win multiple awards for this role. She made a smart move accepting this role and even after so many years in the field, she has shown, she has range and is not going to be type cast.
