Kangana Takes A Dig @ DP & PC

Haven't you missed Kangana Ranaut? Well, we definitely have! The 29 year old actress, who is known to speak her mind, has striked again! And this time she has raised a strong opinion about Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood ventures. In an explosive interview to Mid-Day, Kangana said, "It would be stupid for anyone to make the movie to the West now. Their theater business is crashing because of the influx of the digital media. Asia, on the other hand, is where Hollywood was 15 years ago. It is a lucrative time for entertainment here. These are baits that I won't fall prey to." Unlike other actresses who are aiming to try their luck in Hollywood, Kangana doesn't fall under the same category. Well, if you see she doesn't uphold anything against DP or even PeeCee for that matter, but she does think that it is utterly "stupid" for Bollywood actors to head to the West.. especially when the cinema here is flourishing on such a large scale. "If an American film (The Jungle Book, 2016) is doing Rs 100 crore business and not all our films are able to, we may not find adequate screens for home-bred films 10 years down the line. I am all for world cinema but it needs to be a film that brings employment and money to our country. I don't wish to offer myself on a platter to another country, " she further added. Was Ms Ranaut hinting at Deepika Padukone? Presumably, yes!


Kangy is gearing up for Rangoon, her next film which is slated to release on February 24 this year. The film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.
