Yes I agree many heroines did that too, most recent being Vista Balan in Kahaani, so I would say that there have been multiple heroines/heroes who have done what Roshni did in that show and that could in no way considered to be grey, but as you said people do consider that to be grey then it is perspective
To be frank I don't want Gauri to have some hidden motive against Oberois, not because I won't like that but because we already have Nafratbaaz who are doing this n now as per the spoilers Saumya is having some similar motive, so Gauri too being the same would be too much of a repition in the story

I would rather prefer a girl who wants to live life in her own terms n doesn't mind hurting others if that leads to her betterment,

I too want Gauri as a different opponent not related to Oberoi's past or Anika's Chhutki. What u commented by using examples of Hindi movies no one commented like that as normally a heroine is seen as grey even if she talks rudely to her family n hero let alone doing kaands like hurting others. Movies are of Just 2-3 hours so there is hardly any fuss but serial comes daily na. Some people even hated Aaliya for her way of taking revenge 4m Zain Again in BI & Aaliya was much of a traditional Indian clothes wearing heroine instead of so-called modern heroine who are only modern 4m their clothes. I am neither confused nor hypocrite if I want a grey-negative female lead. If people can accept a jerk hero in every show to ek show me aisi heroine aane se kaunsa pahaad toot jaayega?

Although I expected a better name than Gauri(nothing against it), I don't really care what her name is and what she wears as long she is grey character in the right essence, and by that I mean she is grey by choice and not because of some compulsion. I want her to be self-centered and selfish and live life on her own terms, and not care if people are hurt in the process(As long as she isn't killing anyone).
If she is working with Dadi's sister for property, I hope she does it because she wants to and not because Dadi's sister has blackmailed her to do so.🤢(I was talking to my mum who used to watch Qubool Hain, and apparently it had a similar track with Sehar. )

But, I really doubt if Gul can execute that, and if people can accept a grey character. Even for Ishaana, there was one group (including me) who didn't like that she was feeling guilty about conning me, and another set of people(to my surprise), who didn't like the fact that she was a con artist in the first place.

Although we shouldn't discuss much about other shows but Paanch was a show on Channel V about college ragging n campus crimes, Gauri Lada was the main antagonist in the show who along with her gang had bullied the sister of the protagonist for fun n later killed her the antagonist then comes to avenge her sister

It was an awesome thriller n suspense show n the only serial for which I had seen all the episodes (excluding Kutumbh which aired long back in school days)

Juhi btw now that I have started discussing that show, I want to confess something, I plead guilty, even I wanted Roshni to end up with Gauti, and despite having guessed that he would turn out to be the killer in the first 3-4 episodes itself I always hoped that I am wrong n he isn't bad/killer. This I guess had only to do with the actor, I really liked him in the show although his talent was always overshadowed by Rashi Mal and Sheetal Singh, still he did appeal to me the most among the male cast, and this was when I had started watching the show for Nikhil as my friends had praised him like anything

I too supported Roshni n Gauti but only for a short period. When Nikhil reentered the show gaining entry in college I was confused between him n Gauti on who sud end wid Roshni. But some people shipping Roshni wid Roy, Nikhil, Yudi was weird. I do liked some scenes of Gauti-Roshni but Gauti betrayed Roshni when she needed him the most in the eventful episode of 17th April 2014 that no one can forget due to the brutality of that episode.

Coming to the main topic, I still believe that Gauri's traditional and simple appearance is temporary to trap Oberois helping Dadi's sister and she will come in her original form once everyone gets to know her true face. GauKara are already promoted a lot like RuMya on social media sites before they even had a scene in the show. I don't want any opposite attracts story yaar. Real life me hardly koi opposite attractswala couple hota hai. Opposite attracts sirf physics subject me hi suit karta hai😆. The most could happen is Gauri taking place of the girl chosen by Tej and posing as that girl herself by kidnapping the original girl.
