People who are regular on this forum will be familiar that from the last one year we have been bombarded with news on Padmavati. First started off with casting news-everyone knew RS and DP would be in the film but they acted as if its not confirmed. Then came news of casting Ratan Singh's character and all the drama associated with it-DP refusing to work with some TV actor cast, many actors supposedly walking in and out. Finally Shahid relieved us all by agreeing to do the part.

But after Shahid was cast it led to Ranveer getting insecure and we were bombarded with stories of his insecurity, asking for scripts, giving interviews that he is the lead and being paid the most etc etc. Then came daily updates on film being scrapped due to budget issues. This must be the movie whose PR budget is more than what they have spent on actual filming.

And now I see SLB productions and some fans blaming the media for spreading false news about the film thus ending up with SLB getting a solid chanta. But my question is why blame the media when SLB started it and wanted it?

whatever may have been spread about the movie, how can getting slapped be justified? And especially when the 'news' or rumors were ..well, mere rumors, unofficial, unconfirmed..

why are we blaming SLB when there's no ground to support the fact that he was active in spreading the rumor?

The man got assaulted.

And yes, media will be blamed because it has to maintain ethics in dishing out 'news'. It has the responsibility to disseminate information that is authentic.

And the assailants are to be blamed. There are ways to protest.

As for PR, IDK, there is no proof to confirm this so cannot say.

Yeah SLB's team is annoying and most likely fed the "dream sequence" fake news themselves. Still doesn't justify violence & vandalism.

slb's team immediately denied the rumour about a dream sequence wen the media reported it

and whether it was a rumour made by slb or not that is no excuse for those people to abuse and cause mayhem like that, his team already said there is no scene between padmavati and khilji months ago, so how can these protesters use that as an excuse? There is something called using sense, but no these people just wanted to show that they r gundas

You don't have any proof that SLB's PR spread those rumours of dream sequence. This bolly online sites need views for $$$$ so they make up new stories for views so everything is not PR.

Slb goes overboard with promotion ,but who does not in bw? Why would xyz sena care about dprs releation,budget,dp attitude etc etc ?

K sena got offended with news abot sex secene b/n P/K which was running on some websites even after Sant had quoted and clarified it

They are telling no scene between DPRS,they were clear about this thing ,aadmi ko dhindora pitne ki aadat hogi par aa bail mujhe mar wali nahi

If it was pr why would they go back won't it add extra to pehle si over budget film?he knows JA ban why would he do this to his own? Yeh sab pseudo historians/nationalists ki karnama hai

So many media people and you think every thing is PR? You think all these low paid journalists don't write anything of their own. They pick up gossipe from everywhere, add their own and publish.

Some things may be PR but not everything.
