Okay yesterdays' episode was beautiful; I don't know why people are complaining...
Before watching the episode, I read a lot of reviews about how Atharva was in denial , he was "pretending" as if nothing happen , and that he wants things to go back to like before ...
I will like to put forward my argument...( #no spoilers)
Okay let's start with the simple things Atharva greatest fear ...
This was a man who feared losing the love of his live before he even met her ... he grew up with Sujata who devoted her life loving a man , who left her at the side of the road ... Sujata told Atharva " your father left me three days after he said he loved me " and this has been his fear all through his life ... he will end up like his mother ... the love of his life will live him someday and he will be alone ... and all this fear is before he met vv ...
Then he meets vv and that fear amplifies, because now he has somebody that could actually live him ... it was never "someone will separate us" it was " she will leave me , like my father left me" (somebody say abandonment issues)... but vv spent most of her time trying , TRYING to convince Atharva she will never leave him ...
And then turns out KK , doesn't approve , fear , goes another level higher ... now it's not only vv can and may leave him , it's her father may separate us ... she might marry someone else and i will spend my entire live loving her ...
This is a fear that has been in this man since a young age ... it has never changed ... why because , two days to his wedding he couldn't say "I love you" to vv ... why ?? Because if he said that maybe like his mother, vv will leave him, vv would be taken away from him ... and unfortunately for him they beat his mothers' record and the love of his life left him in two not three days ... so Atharvas' superstition was proven correct the one time he believes in a superstition its proven correct ...
So yes that night when Vv and Sujata scolded him and promised they will never leave him ... was just a start ... a start to many more confirmation that they are his family and will not abandon him and vv wasn't going to make him spend his live , waiting for her ...
So this fear has ALWAYS been in Atharva, two days weren't enough for him to just forget ...vv still had a long way to go after making him say I love you...
Now am sure your asking yourself why is Kelly repeating what we already know ??...
Don't hurry we will get there ...
To me in this episode Atharva was very much acting how I expected him to act...
Remember to Atharva he still was in hospital for 6 days ...he still just woke up ...yes they told him it's been three months but knowing is one thing , especially if you were told ... Atharva was told what happen ... and feeling is another thing ... because of his lack of memory and knowledge ( he was again only told the summarized version) ... makes it easier to move back into where he left off ...
He woke up in a strange place and went to a even stranger place ... but then he came back , home that look eerily , exactly the way he remembered nothing had changed at first glance everything was the same ... Atharva wasn't pretending he was fitting in with what he remembered ... Atharva has been through a lot, vitharva has been through a lot ... but he doesn't remember ... and people around him are just so happy he is back , no one wants to stop him and say time didn't stand still and wait for you ...
(How can i explain it ... lets say you were in a similar situation like Atharva for three months and when you woke up things had change but not much ... everything again was still the same ... but apparently your country no longer speaks lets say English but French ... and everyone tells you we now only speak French ... that's the new rule .. And they prove to you that only French should be spoken but , they go out of their way to speak English with you , all your family members in your little world keep on speaking English to you .. and your first instinct too when you speak is in English because that's what you remember , that's what you know , yes they told you that its now French , but ENGLISH is what you know ...
and everyone tells you you know French , all you need to do is remember , and you know you need to remember , and many things happened but what you remember is speaking English ...
And so you stick to what you know and everyone is just happy to have you back that they just go with the flow...)
Atharva knew things had change, he came back expecting change , his mind is fighting with him ... but on arriving at ajmer , it was as if time stopped and waited for him , his familiar surrounding weren't ONLY familiar but it looked stuck in time ... and Atharva just fell into in all ... he fell head first and without any memories of change or feelings of change it was that easy to get excited , because it was as if he went on a weeklong vacation he doesn't remember and is now back at home ...
I mean the poor guy was hugging chairs ... 😕...
And nobody made any haste to tell him they might look the same feel the same but NO its not the same ...
And this is where telling him about guddi comes in ... because if everything was the same then his little sister , his pet should be around somewhere ... everything was going to be okay , if ajmer his home waited for him ... then his guddi who worshiped him was also here somewhere ... his happiness and eagerness in seeing guddi said a lot ... usually at a first call guddi would be out ... but he had to call a few times without giving up ...
Now some of you will say what about Atharva finding out about the shaadi ... and I shall ask what about it??... Shouldn't that have been his night mare ??
But what is really a nightmare , if you lived with it most of your life ??... The marriage was just a confirmation ... Atharva's fears were viable ... This discovery awoken the fear that was already in him ... This was not a new feeling , he has always had this fear , it didn't go anywhere ... Yes she was now married and there are still many things to over come, but one thing they did was try and rectify things , vv getting a divorce , as she still loved him ...
Which is why I choose guddi...
Guddi was that disconnect, that one thing that could not be fixed ;that one permanent that couldn't be erased ... vv will fight to get back to herself , r and vv marriage can be divorce , Mr V can go to jail , Atharva can get well, Vitharv can always work on their fears and insecurities ... but they can't bring guddi back ...
She was that one constant that couldn't be solved and that was what Atharva needed, that was the FEELING he need to see that wait , things have really changed ... he needed to feel it too ...
To me Atharva knowing about guddi wasn't a reality check but his reality being taken away from him ... anything can be easily accepted except the dead of a loved one .. you can try to fix anything but you can't bring someone from the dead ..
Guddis dead was Atharvas' hole in Jesus' hand ...
Atharva's face asked vv what nonsense is she talking about ... things could change , but not so much that it would take away the live of a child ... ( to all those who wanted to ship guddi , cvs themselves told you she was a child )... ... A child who hadn't even begun her life yet ... this one was in his face ,this one was permanent he couldn't be the Atharva we know and fix it ...
Atharva's reality states that guddi is still alive ... i mean how could she have died in 6 days , as three months were just words he didn't feel ... how could she go when they were doing haldi just yesterday ...
Guddi was the disconnect Atharva needed i see why cvs waited with the news ... the episode started with a happy Atharva who loved his home coming , to a sombre Atharva at the end who realised that , maybe what vv told him wasn't all , maybe he need more details ...
And today again we were shown the cvs love for atharv through a lope hole ... avinash ... the cvs had already decided it wasn't him( even though all evidence pointed at him Believing its avi is not that hard , as he could have been lying , K-bua didn't know and all evidence pointed at him ... What I needed from cvs is how did they finally confirm it was avi...) ... but then Atharva is back , and like yesterday , if after finding out about guddi's dead Atharva didn't go after the person who did it we would have crucified him😆 ... but cvs already screwed up ... and so without giving us feedback or reasons they suddenly contradict themselves ... to tie up a loose end that has been pending for too long .. Stopped Atharva from going after the killer and stopped us from going after them and Atharva... never doubt me when i say if there is one person to trust when it comes to the cvs its Atharva Sujata...
Atharva started the day with hope and with what he could remember , but at the end we all realised ... our babies have grown upðŸ˜... that innocence has been taken away from them ...
They know they love each , they want to be together ... but where to start where to start ... this is not the same vv and this is not the same Atharva ... the difference is Atharva doesn't remember he while vv does ...
the vv we knew would have talked Atharva's ears to dead ... and atharva knowing her asked what is wrong ?? ... not because he whats them to go back to normal ... because his most recent memories involved that care free girl...
Atharva even without being told the details understood , that she was alone with strangers in a strange place scared and lost ... he wasn't there with her and when he was he couldn't help her ...
but the problem is he still cant remember and vv is not sharing ...
Atharva is having a harder time , because what he knows and what he was told are different ... and you sometimes easily forget when you don't remember ...
bye , i need to get to theory of structure ...
