Flameofdarkness: You know, I couldn't picture SK like that either or take so effortlessly to Haider/Rangoon chaste Urdu speaking characters either but he's done his best yet in both. He was the impressive one in Rangoon, not the National Award winning Kangana, so I've a strong feeling that he & RS will be the main Stars of Padma & he'll do a very very good job of being RRS.

Both are good but after watching UP I would say Shahid is slightly better than Ranbir.

i really really like shahid as actor but if you ask me to choose between ranbir and shahid then i'll go for ranbir.just for one reason ranbir can be good too even in his crappy movies like YJHD or ADHM where his characters are poorly written and lacks depth.he is absolute natural and charming even in simple scenes which is so hard to find in stars these days

I agree with most of you Ranbir has the talent to look good in any role even if the film isn't too good. But to the people who feel Shahid wasn't that good in films like Udta Punjab, Haider or Kaminey then I don't know what to say to you those performances were phenomenal especially Haider and Kaminey

IDK about his Urdu diction but sorry..IMHO Shahid lacks the physical attributes, regal bearing and the old-world charm to pass off as an Emperor from medieval times 😛
