Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi is currently in Mumbai shooting for his film Beyond The Clouds. The film stars Shahid Kapoor's step brother Ishaan Khattar.
It was earlier reported that the film which focuses on brother-sister relation would have Deepika Padukone playing Ishaan's sister. However later on news arrived that the makers are yet to finalise an actress for the project.
And now, latest buzz suggests that Kangana Ranaut was also approached for the project. But the Rangoon actress apparently turned the project down.
As per news sources, Kangs even had a meeting with the director to discuss the project. However, she felt that the female character wasn't equally prominent in the brother-sister saga. Reportedly, the actress suggested certain changes for Majid to do in the script. The acclaimed and award-winning filmmaker refused and Kangs turned down the project.
It would have been interesting to see Kangana acting with Ishaan in this film after she worked with his brother Shahid in Rangoon.
