Karan Johar while attending the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland was told by the Oscar-winning Pakistani documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid that she hoped to see Fawad Khan being directed by him again. Karan Johar replied,[B] "I have great regards for Fawad Khan's talent, which is why he featured in two of our films. But under the current circumstances, we don't know where we're heading. I think all great actors should find the best platforms. I hope Fawad finds the best too. I never want to go through what I went through again. Neither the situation, the circumstances, nor the apology. I felt weak, victimised and I don't want to feel that again."[B]
So Karan Johar has made it clear, like he did in this now infampous apology video of his, that he is never gonna work with any Pakistani artiste. For he don't wanna go through that trauma again.
For the uninitiated, after the cowardly Uri attacks, many self proclaimed patriots called for a ban on Pakistani artistes from working in India. He had then said, "I understand the anger and the anguish that surround us and I empathise, my heart bleeds for the lost lives. There is nothing that can justify this terrible feeling of terror. Then you are faced in a situation such as this (asking for ban on Pak artistes). If this was truly a solution, one would take it. But this is not a solution. I don't believe it is. "Sometimes, you just want to fold your hands and say, We are creative industry. Please leave us alone. We make movies, we spread love. There are millions in the world, in our country who are happy with the work we do, allow us that...' I think we should not be those soft targets anymore. We don't matter in the scheme of things but we can make things happier and better," he had concluded then.
