A lot of things that have already been mentioned tbh.
1. Dancing. There's just something to be said about watching someone trained in dance actually dancing vs watching a normal person dance. The trained people contain a grace than makes the whole sequence more magical. One really prominent example, imo, was DP in Mohe Rang Do Laal. She was ATROCIOUS in that dance and it really made me miss Madhuri b/c you could just tell Madz would've KILLED it. Like the song was made for Madhuri to dance upon. But DP butchered it.

2. Family movies. I not opposed to the type of movies that contain sex scenes or whatever. But I would definitely like to see more family movies made! There's just something so fun and sweet about them.

3. The authentic feel. I'm not sure how to articulate this, but movies these days often feel really manufactured. Like I know older movies were pbad at doing this (dance scenes in the snow LOL) but there was just this feel of being amazed and being in the moment. Suraj Hua Madham is a really good example of this. The two are literally dancing in the desert (LOL) and yet it still looks and feels so beautiful and real. Whereas these days, I don't get that feeling. Quality of movie-making and sets and everything is prob better, but don't get than authentic feel. Perhaps this is more of a critique of actors connection w/ audience, but whatever.

4. Comedy movies without sexual jokes or in-your-face innuendos. Just something funny like Munna Bhai or Malamaal Weekly. Not quite innocent comedy, but more subtle and enjoyable.

5.Music. There's such a dearth of soft, smooth, beautiful music. Most popular music these days is all about the beat. Which is fine I guess, but I miss Asha Bhosle's voice and even Alka Yagnik's sometimes LOL.

TBH, there's prob movies recently released that have the things I've described, but idk, I haven't seen this. Plus, I think my list may perhaps be biased as I think I'm guilty of looking at the past with rose-coloured glasses. Afterall, everything is more beautiful in retrospect.

Repeat Value. After 3 Idiots and to some extent Barfi, there is not one movie that can be watched twice not matter how big a hit the movie is. What a sad state of affiairs! -_-
And to think I once even watched the flops of early 2000's more than once!

Acting I miss
an actor should create a connection with viewers with whatever character he/she is playing...they should make you laugh with dem, cry with dem and now a days it rarely happens

Original music-I so so hate the latest trend of destroying good old original songs

Steroetypes-to show a modern girl, short dresses are compulsory like seriously. similarly, if girl wears tradition clothes her thinking too is traditional 🥱

Here's what I miss:

-Good music & playback singers like Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan & the likes

-those easy breezy romantic songs that had a lot of humming 😆

- larger than life & feel good films

- Charming young heroes (SRK, Salman & Aamir kinds), I know they are still around but they are in their 50s now so can't be called 'young' heroes any more. But these three were all charming in their own way and nowadays I can't see the same charm in any of the younger heroes.

- Charming & unique leading ladies. Earlier we had a lot more diversity in the leading ladies, and each had their own attracting factor. Preity had the cute dimples & a charming onscreen persona, Rani was the Bong beauty, Kajol had awesome screen presence, Raveena & Urmila were the sexy sirens, Madhuri had a killer smile etc. Nowadays every heroine has to fit into this barbie mould and have a certain body type & persona to be liked.

Having said all of this, Bollywood has come a LONG way and this can be seen when you compare films nowadays with the older 90s films which had a lot of bad scripts. :) But some of these things about these old films are missed. :)

Connection with the lead characters. Nothing to identify with them or their lifestyle.
