What is that one thing that attracts you as audience to a movie and you think it is missing from current Bollywood movies?

1. Quality of dance. People who are trained in classical dance and can actually dance gracefully. Stopped with Madhuri and Ash.

2. Romance without kissing. Now romance is kissing, that too bad kissing. 🤔

3. Movies I can watch over and over again. There are few movies like that.

4. Melodious songs.

5. Baarish songs.

So far I can think of only so much.

- Melodious songs. There are few current songs I know that I would want to listen to few years from now. The chartbusters are great for few weeks and then I am done with them. They are no longer hot and exciting.There were so many songs from 90s that I still want to listen to and it never feels old. Never feels outdated.

I wouldn't say I miss the romance. I think bollywood romances used to be terrible. Most of them simply had sexist men playing with women. Often I didn't even know why couples fell in love. That can still be the case but it's getting better.

- The one thing I do miss about bollywood romances are the guy and girl hating each other. I loved watching romances where the guy and the girl do not like each other at first and go to extreme lengths to either avoid each other or mess with each other. These days the lead characters might not get along but they are too advanced for nokjhoks, they are too rational to hate 😊

- I miss love triangles. I am a sucker for love triangles and I miss them.

- The other thing I miss are villains. We used to have legendary villains, now movies don't really require villains. Here and there Salman and Ajay movies will have a serious villain (most often played by Prakash Raj). I sometimes miss those villains. Not all the time though.

- I miss conventionally beautiful heroines who take your breath away. I kind of hate saying this because beauty is in the eye of the beholder but from the current actresses though I think they are all attractive in their own way there is no one I find extremely beautiful. No one looks like Madhuri, Aish, Sonali, Shilpa, Raveena, Monisha, Urmila, Rani.

- I miss family movies! I am so glad not all movies are family movies. I am fine with kissing, and sex. I am an adult and I do not watch movies with my parents. But now and then I do want 2-3 movies that focus on family, that make me happy like HSSH or HAHK. I miss those happy, feel good family movies that make me cry. I miss the parent movies like Baghban.

Subtelty attracts me a lot and i crave actors who underplay their roles, which is sadly missing from bollywood today not completely but mostly. There are exceptions however.

Songs that instantly make me think of Shahrukh. 😆 Like for instance when I first heard this song, I totally imagined it to be picturised on Shahrukh. It has such a signature Shahrukh sound! You can tell by the way Jimmy sways that even he is inspired by Shahrukh 😆
