A Bollywood lovely, all set to make her international debut, has just lost a big brand endorsement back home in India and is clearly unhappy about it. She's been associated with this finance company for almost three years now. But she recently raised her fee and the company dropped her rather unceremoniously, without as much as another discussion. Her team has now called for a quick meeting and is rethinking her rather steep hike. Slow and steady is better than fast and furious, no?

Good if she is asking for what she thinks she s worth. Its sad that the same company might pay higher for the men, but have so much apprehensions when it comes to a woman

If its for steep remuneration then DP needs to rethink and evaluate her price because post demonetization economy is not the same..

But is this the correct story because there is another angle..Axis bank has been marred with controversies one after another post demonetization. They are loosing their customer base..So it may be blessing for disguise for Deepika for not being their brand ambassador any more. Also in current situation I dont think Axis bank can afford any big celebrity as their credibility gone down to the drain.

I don't think xXx bombed. HW movies don't make that much money in India unless it's a big brand and xXx definitely isn't one. I think the numbers are fine for what it is. And it doesn't really matter anyway as long as foreigners think she's hot. That's her only aim with this movie.

If white people end up thinking she's hot, she will get more offers. Doesn't really matter how xXx does.

Not really Deepika's loss, Axis Bank has been marred with a lot of controversies lately, post demonetisation, so I think it's better they lay low for a while and not over-spend on brand endorsements too.

Deepika can get a better brand probably, I'm sure Axis Bank didn't allow her to endorse any other bank/financial institution while endorsing Axis Bank. So she could probably endorse some rival bank too.

That being said, its better that the brand endorsement fees are kept in check. It's a tough economy and unless you are AB Sr, 3 Khans or Akshay Kumar it won't really help increasing your fees for brands in today's environment in India.

Forget DP, what is the news about axis bank going down ???? ... RBI said that they are not cancelling its license.
