I've always wondered is Mishal Punjabi? Isn't Lohri a North Indian festival? 😳
Thanks for sharing Dazzling! Not sure if he is Punjabi or not! May be he is Sindhi...( I am just guessing based google research on last name...😆)I think lohri is Punjabi, Pongal is north indian, makar sakranti is gujju and lodi is bihari ( I might be totally wrong here)...Need to read Pearl's post
Hi Dazz & Ami..My guess is he is a Gujrati, but could be wrong@ Ami...Pongal is South Indian ( Tamil Nadu), & Makar Sankranthi is what we celebrate in the south as well ( Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh)Yes, Swathi has made a wonderful post explaining the tradition & festivities.

Mishal is most probably a Sindhi. Raheja is a common surname among Sindhis.

Mag, I just googled his last name and came up with this:"Migrated refugees from Pakistan Punjab and Sindhi Hindu/Sikh families with last names ending in -ja are probably Aroras (subcaste of Kshatriya)" - WikipediaYou're probably right about him being Sindhi. 😊
