By now, it is clear to one and all that the channel wants Bani to win. However, Bani has been a very poor contestant so far and a problem for the channel. I absolutely do not want her to win. Today, in my opinion, Lopa made a huge, huge mistake and committed a strategic error of massive proportions that almost guarantees that Bani will win.
By saying what she did, Lopa gave Bani an opportunity to throw a violent fit for her mother. Now, the channel will use this incident to further establish the story of a lonely girl whose fellow contestants show no sympathy for her mother's situation.
Now, Bani is a story of survival of a lonely girl handicapped by her mother's poor health, whose unsympathetic fellow contestants trouble her for her life situation, and who is further hampered by the cruel eviction of the only one friend she had in the BB house. Imagine in the sympathy she will get if these relevant videos are constantly shown in the last week.
The channel will showcase the following: So what, if Bani did not do tasks well. She has life problems and just surviving the BB house is greater than any task. So what, if Bani did not get along with anyone. Many of us are awkward socially.
All the negatives on Bani will be thrown under the table. Population in general is very emotional and lacks logical thinking. When the videos of Bani's sob story and fighting against all contestants will be shown, people will get emotional for her.
Lopa is a smart player. She should have known better. She won the task, but lost the battle for BB trophy. Until now, the mother sob story could not be used because it highlighted the Swami Om incident and almost everyone agrees that he is crazy. It could also not be used because Bani has never really wanted to meet or hear from her mother; instead she has been demanding Gauhar.
If the channel was looking for a story to make Bani look impressive, and I believe it was, it has got it now. No other contestant is getting a story this powerful by the channel. Whether the Bigg Boss voice scolds Bani for getting aggressive with Lopa, or nominates her for rest of season is immaterial. As long as the channel does not evict Bani for getting violent with Lopa, which I believe it won't, my prediction is that Bani is now going to win the trophy. She has got the emotional story and the visuals just 2 weeks before the final and that guarantees her win from now on.
