My take is he would have ...he would slap even Gujral if Gurjal spoke against his mom!!
Need to remember he didnt think twice before saying NO to marrying Gujral's daughter on the day of their engagement...thats Dev ...highly temperamental and absolutely impulsive especially if some one spoke ill about his mom / his upbringing/abt his sisters...and now Sona is included in that list..
Just that when his family taunts Sona he goes into mute mode...😡

But would Ishwari or GKB behave this way to Natasha ...NO !! Never!! ...they will be scared if they go against Natasha then Gujral will harm Dev's business ...so they would never dare to taunt Natasha...for them Natasha is a hen that lays golden eggs !!

I believe when it comes to Ishwari Dev sees only his mother her suffering her uncomfortableness her hurt he does everything just for her never not once considered that he hurts others on puts his decisions on them

Nope.
I think Dev would have Hit Mr. Gujral too!

He worships his mother.

So no matter who the opponent is, his mother remains his God and hence his reactions are always according to that.

Yes . He would have slapped gujral too .. if gujral showcased his mom's flaws and shouted at her and she acted like a hurt rabbit... dev just cant controls his emotions when his mom comes into picture and ishwari uses her sickness ( low bp , fainting ) to keep dev under her thumb

It's not about money, it's about how a man is raised. I am an Indian woman born and raised in India by a single mother. My father-in-law is a self-made multi-millionaire in Canada. My husband can quit his job tomorrow and never have to worry for money. But we both work because we don't want to live on my father-in-law's hard-earned money.

When I said that I want to get married in India because my family can't afford to fly to Canada, my entire family of in-laws (father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, his two children and my husband's friends) who has never stepped foot outside North America packed their bags and came to India for my wedding. Why? Because my husband said what makes me happy, makes him happy. Never once they made me feel that I was not the cherished member of their family. In my Canadian wedding where my mother could not come, my father-in-law gave me away to his own son.

That's the difference in upbringing.

Dev would have never slapped Gujral because just like Ishwari, he is a bully. The people he considers beneath him, he flexes his power on them. And he only considers people beneath him who aren't rich.

He took away Ranveer's living because he didn't dance to his sister's tune. What did he do to Ayan's parents for supporting him in his lies by claiming his girlfriend is his cousin beyond making Ayan leave town? Nothing. Who was the bigger criminal between Ranveer and Ayan? The only difference is that Dev perceives Ayan as rich and Ranveer as poor.

Ishwari is the same. We all know how Ayan's family treated Ishwari and how she talked to them and how Sonakshi's family treated her and how she behaved with them. Again she perceives one family as rich and the other, not.

All they understand is the language of money. They have no decency, no manners, no culture and definitely no respect for people who are not rich.

Your story, if some one from the media world reads this, makes for a blockbuster serial.. with the Indian ingredients abundantly added in..

i think it is a combination of many factors, upbringing, circumstances, surroundings, social norms, etc.. it takes years for evolution to take place.

recently, i read an article about a politician stating that rapes happen in India because girls wear provocative clothes. Needless to say, this person got trolled big time.

then came a small little message that goes like this.. a conversation between a bikini and a burqa.

Bikini - i feel sad that because of me, the one who wears me gets molested
Burqua - don't feel sad, because the one who wears me too gets molested.

Moral of the story - it is all in the mind and the mind does develop over the years.. unseen and quietly.. even when i look back over the years, i will be candid and say that though i was broad minded to start with, i have seen changes over a span of 30 odd years.. i guess it is only natural.

1st of all if dev would have given money to gujral then there would have been no conflict becoz ishu would have then considered it as just a business deal and not a matter of her insecurities or Dev lying for Natasha as dev didnt love Natasha.
If gujral slandered ishwari then I don't think slap but dev would have raised his voice definitely but then ishu would have intervened and portrayed the insult as nothing and would have even asked Dev to apologize becoz gujrals would have destroyed dev and his career
