See, this is why I enjoy this show. Ishwari was creepy, but she wasn't

<DQ, dodges the rotten tomatoes>

Now, hear me out. Recall what Nikki did for bhaiya and Bhabhi on their wedding night... She got their room decorated.

Ishwari probably asked Nikki to book a honeymoon package for them and chose the designs etc with her as nikki was booking. Nikki probably asked ma if she should add the spa, dinner etc etc and Ishwari in her true form thinks she is micromanaging their baby-dance.

My in-laws got our room decorated for our first night. My mother booked a room for my brother in a hotel (and did pick the room type etc. - because it was a surprise for my brother and his wife) for his first night. None of these 50+ yr olds are creepy but yes, they did want us to have a fulfilling sex life because they know a healthy married life also has sex as part of it and they do have a longer term hidden agenda of wanting grandchildren.

This is why I enjoy this show. I am not saying I love it. I am not saying I hate it. I am saying, its got shades of realism to it. The dress etc all got a bit too much. But that's where the drama element comes

I am actually more disappointed in Dev Dixit's office staff's housekeeping skills

Sonakshi spoke up. I loved her bedroom and post 10 pm dialogue. Got my 20 minutes of treat. Now I am ready for the rotten tomatoes... bring it on

More like Honeymoon Travels Public Limited.

Our inlaws do that as a part of the wedding ritual called Suhaag Raat. They dont plan the actual Honeymoon.

No rotten tomatoes from me coz everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Elders arrange suhaag raat and they are definitely all for procreation no doubt...but Ishwari telling the entire world about infertility and checking whether they placed roses is like the mother knocking on the bedroom room on that suhhag raat to see if the roses are placed at the centre of the bed in the shape of a heart or all those elders discussing the best way the couple should make love in order to procreate quickly.
In real life, first night arrangements are made in a rational fashion but how often do you see those elders ask the couple/son/daughter how the arrangements are? It is always the younger people /brothers/sisters/cousins/friends who talk about this stuff/tease the couple not the elders. So there you go...

I hope you got my POV on what I think of Ishwari😆

Loved your title!

Yes first night are usually done with help from family! I meant only the decoration!

You know in olden days in South Indian families they had a muhurat time for the actual act! Maybe ish being old school decided shubh muhurat after 10.

Seriously she reminded me of the man with the monkey. It dances to the madaaris tunes! We can guess who's who. Finally the one of the deaf dumb & blind monkey is refusing to perform.(how does anybody perform with maa ka saaya hanging over them)

Erica was looking smashing in the new dress & the neat hairstyle! Finally!

SORRY but I don't agree completely!
booking a vacation(limited to flight tickets) is still OK but deciding on the dresses ,booking a Couple SPA etc is a big NO.

I really cannot accept or even imagine someone else has my schedule and visualizing the things as in when I do them on my honeymoon with my husband.

Honeymoon is such a private affair so let it be.

Here it doesn't look like a honeymoon or even a casual time off work kindda vacations.

It is more of a trip with a purpose..with an agenda to make babies
Hence a sense of discomfort in Sona's mind and behavior is obvious.

I agree that our parents needs grandchildren and it is surely the best thing to have in life after marriage but nobody sets a stage for it like this ..with such level of interference.

Talking of Ishu's skills to plan for a vacation for newly weds or to always interfere in Dev's business or in DevSona medical's appointments concerning their extremely personal infertility treatment.

Iska bas chale to ye pura desh bhi chala sakti hai. 😡 😡

I absolutely 100% get sonakshi's discomfort. I get how delusional Dev is. I get how interfering Ishwari is.
This was a post to the makers. They do things in such a manner that you almost want to believe that Ishwari isn't trying to manage devakshi. But you know she is. And that's where my enjoyment comes from

If Ishwari won't be annoying enough, how on earth will we get to see sonakshi's outbursts.

Yes, in the same vain...

If Ishwari doesn't interfere, how will things go wrong? And her interference will break this whole thing down all over again. ...jaldi jaldi would be better😆

Much as I like to complain about how a character should act but at the end of the day the cvs are telling their story.

Like most stories you have to show the bad for the good to be recognized. We as viewers are still trying to figure out which way the story is going to take & that's what is keeping us hooked.

Being a daily soap the execution is weird sometimes but if it is able to be elicit so many varying emotions from the viewers then they must be doing something right.

Interesting discussion. I believe in olden days people married young and had no exposure to Sns so elders took it on them to educate the younger lot about the importance of good sex so all this decorations, milk etc was their way .

Regarding honeymoon , I remember during my HM we were offered private candle dinner as a complimentary from the hotel along with wine and fruit basket .They had even decorated the bed (very very simple though but it was obvious)as a complimentary when HM suite was booked .So I guess even hotels these days offer certain standard services for HM couples .Its all business

Her sole reason was clear to her and Devakshi as well. It is only for the baby and that's what she wants.
Now tell me if your parents constantly tells you beta you have to top your exams and do all such goody goody things that they never do for you. You will definitely feel indirectly pressurized. There are lot of things that you feel are good for your kids, but it doesn't mean that your kids feel the same way. And it gets irritating also, no wonder how "good" other persons intentions are. There is a line for everything and the way the housekeeping keeps on chanting maaji ne bola hai was actually annoying. Ishwari has never thought that there is a limit of controlling everything in her children's life.
