😉 La La Land is innovative and refreshing. I saw it this past weekend and Ryan Gosling was awesome.
Same with Emma Stone. Can Bollywood remake it? Or is Bollywood to backward to do a remake? Please share your thoughts. 😳

What was innovative about La La Land? It was just a typical struggler love story, and spoilers- they have one fight, and that's it, end of love story. Like a SLB film, they just added a sad ending to make up for the lack of plot-. Also Ryan and Emma were awful singers, Bollywood's system is much better, let singers sing and actors act.

Bollywood filmmakers can be extremely lazy owing to their copy, paste habits. What was the last romantic comedy/drama that was enjoyed by critics and audience-Jab We Met is the only one I can think of.
La La Land was extremely well made movie because it was smartly crafted. It wasn't the run of the mill story that made it great but the whole execution right from the beginning credits and to the end. The end was heartbreaking but it made sense.
BW is finally doing good cinema so I do think in future they can make a movie like La La Land. But for now, it's serious subjects that they are excelling in.

Bollywood have made enough of romantic movies and every movie is a "musical" one. I want BW to make movies like Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, Requiem for a dream, Southpaw, Harold and Maude and many more, I could go on and on and I so want them to make movies with young actors. In BW a 40/50 year old plays role of a college student. We are so dependent on some few actor and actresses.
Another thing is that BW lack good character artists. The so called stars are not good character actors. And those who are character actors unfortunately are not sellable.

There is so much wrong with this post.

Watch the opening sequence and the epilogue again and then try to see the effort and the craftsmanship on display. The epilogue is also some of the best storytelling I have seen, it say so much without any dialogue at all. The plot is not that complex, but that is not the foucs here, there is no need for it to be. What makes this movie such a revelation is the way the story is told.

As for SLB, well he can't make a movie half as well structured, written or technically accomplished as La La Land; even if his life depended on it.

It had a simple plot line... but the execution was ⭐️. Fine acting, music and choreography thrown in and you've Oscar bait candidate.

Last time a musical that made so much hungama was Chicago ⭐️... which was recreated from a famous stage musical.

No, unfortunately BW lacks subtlelty. The only way it can happen

25% SLB (Visuals) + 25% KJo (Choreography and Costume Design) + 25% Gauri (EV like subttely) + 25% (Actors who can dance/act... which have in plenty)

The above La La scenario is IMPOSSIBLE. 😆

I propose Alia and Varun for La La Land remake.
