One fundamental mistake we all made was think this track is about infertility.
It is not. It is about Ishwari and her Insecurity. Ishwari didn't even want Dev to get married so why this urge to have a grandchild. Only so that Sona is busy with her child and Ishwari gets her son to herself.
The minute we understand this gospel truth then we start seeing this track in new light. It was never about Dev or Sona... just Ishwari and her insecurity.
Think about it, Ishwari finds out Sona is pregnant, she bears her heart out trying to redeem knowing that now Sona will be busy. Her purpose is achieved.
The minute she finds out Sona is not pregnant she assumes Sona was to be blamed just like the last time. She spits venom.
Dev at least openly told her I love Sona a lot.. and see her face cringe. She knows she cannot separate Dev and Sona so she lays out conditions.
The way I see it going is:
What if all the treatments fail or are a danger to Sona's life or Sona is not in the best of health to undergo multiple cycles of the treatment.
What will Dev do? Choose the promise to his mother over Sona's life.
Sona's life will be at risk and Bijoy wont take it lying down. Specially after the showdown between Bijoy and Dev on Monday and the upcoming looming slap.
Sona will break down seeing Dev suffer and will walk out on her own accord and sign the prenup, divorce papers if required... anything to get out of that mad house.
Dev will be torn between his wife's selfless love and his devotion... not that that is going to get him to say anything. He will still not know to choose his wife's life over his mother's condition.
Once the prenup is out, he will be shattered and resort to drinking and then will question his mother if you wanted to separate me from my child as per the prenup clause why did you insist on a child in the first place endangering Sona's life.
Sober Dev obviously cannot talk to his mom!!
Then is what will get interesting...
Whoever thought this track is about infertility ... wake up and smell the coffee. It is about Ishwari and her insecurities.
