Wow, Aradhana, you have totally stolen my heart with this one!
What more can I say! The part were you mentioned Suraj being impressed by Vincent Van Gogh's painting Almond Blossoms is my favorite 😳
And I didn't expect this association between Suraj and art at all, but the truth is that it does make allot of sense. You made me love Suraj's character even more now. My elder sister is an Art History Teacher and paintings, artists, sculptures are part of are daily discussion. After reading your story, I didn't miss the opportunity to ask her a few questions about this painting to see how can I relate the its meaning to Suraj's character.
So, our sensitive boy was impressed by this one:
My sister said that this is not a typical Van Gogh as here he doesn't use those strong powerful colors or the dramatic brush strokes which always indicates the storm that dominated his mind and heart. Using blue and white was not his style and the calm that these bring to this work is very rare.
I was thinking how well you have chosen this painting for your story. Suraj's character came across as an emotionless person always keeping a straight face. But in reality he was actually searching for something. And this painting made me realize that he was looking for peace and happiness in his family. That's how he was introduced. He was upset that his parents didn't come to take him home from his school like other parents as even if he had failed they should have shown their support. Suraj has always been the one to calm his father or tried to bring peace between Ranjana and Tejaswini unlike Vivaan who most of the time tried to instigate them against each other. That's why the producer chose all these three actors to play Suraj's character: the two kids and VJ, all of them have expressive eyes which indicate that behind the tough exterior there are some deep hidden emotions.
And about the rest of the story, what more can I say? Suraj's confession regarding his past deeds done to Chakor was lovely and so touching. Thinking that he has only few minutes to live and he said it all! I'm already imagining this scene in my head with VJ acting it.
Also, I love the fact the you emphasize Tejaswini's devotion to her husband. I know that this woman did horrible things herself, but her devotion to her marriage is one quality that I hope that Suraj has inherited.
And one more thing, I was happy to read that Suraj didn't keep the money for himself and gave it all to Chakor. I know he will do the same in the show.
Sorry for my long reply. I get carried away when I read or see something beautiful which puts my mind at work 😳
