Well yes definitely Maya is manipulative, but thats due to her past experience of her friends leaving her during her school days after listening to Ashwin's stories.

The thing is Maya's Manipulation is the product of her "Fear" of Arjun leaving her due to her past experience. Now that she is in Love with Arjun, she cant afford to loose him and therefore she manipulates. She already has an inkling that Saanjh n Family all want Arjun and Saanjh to marry. Therefore she indirectly warns them through her dialogues. Its so funny that the whole world knows that Saanjh is a potential future wife of Arjun besides Arjun himself heck even Maya can see it lol. Arjun is actually a duffer and idiot

And this whole show is largely based on Maya who has a some kind of disorder and her Love for Arjun .So Its expected from Maya's character to be manipulative judging from where she is coming from.

NB: I am not saying that its right for her to manipulate.

Can you differentiate between Radha, Rukmini, Panchali and Meera in Krishna's life. Radha was his love to the extend he is called Radhakrishna. Her surrender to Krishna is absolute. If he is parmatma , she is called jeevatma. They never married but still are soulmates

Rukmini a woman who loved Krishna and accepted him as her husband just hearing about him, not even seeing him. Princess of Vidharbha who boldly writes a love letter to him telling she doesnt want to marry the man her brother has chosen for him because she loves Krishna. Rukmini haran can beat any bollywood masala movie where Krishna takes her from the temple on her wedding day, fights her brother's army and marries her. Rukmini is Krishna's queen, whom he needed for his dharma or rather the completion of his duties for which he was born. So a woman who is needed in the path of Karma of a man or rather the one who is needed to complete the duties of a man becomes his wife, that's why Sanathana Dharma calls wife Dharmapatni or the one who supports the man in his dharma. That need not be his soulmate or love. And it also doesnt mean the wife is not loved. Rukmini is loved and respected by Krishna and her place is very unique in Krishna's life

Panchali a woman who trusted Krishna beyond anything. She was not his love, not his wife but someone who found solace in him in her difficult life. A life which was full of thorns. But without her Krishna's teachings wouldnt have seen the light in form of Bhagavad Gita. She becomes the medium through which Krishna becomes God

Lastly but not least Meera a woman who lived centuries after Krishna. Loved him, treated him her husband. Without even getting that love in physical form she dedicated her life to Krishna her love coming through beautiful poetries she wrote.

Well I covered all the woman associated with Krishna but when writing about love how can I forget Arjuna, the man to whom Krishna gave the choice on one side my army will be there and on other side I will be there without weapon. Oh dear friend what do you choose. And Arjuna chooses his friend without weapon and in that choice to me lies the true love. In that trust to me lies the true love. Arjuna's unmatched trust on his friend, which makes God himself to hold the reins of his battle that is true love

If another parallel you have to take, that is Sita waiting for Ram in Ashoka Vatika. Irrespective of hostile environment her faith her husband will come for her and the love that makes Ram cross the mightly ocean with vanar sena. The trust and faith they have for each other that is true love.

If you need to see true love, it has to be tested in diring circumstances and at this point no character in beyhadh has faced that agnipareeksha of love. When it is faced I will tell who or what is true love

Wow! well written.
