DRABBLE ONE: YOU WILL NO LONGER SHARE A BEDROOM
"Shivaay baby nahi chahte that you stay in his bedroom anymore. Dadi won't let me stay with him, stupid, old fashioned woman that she is, but aj se tum bhi nahi rahoge, uske sath. So you can take the guest room that he has given you. Rudra tumko tumhari new room show karega."
Silently watching Tia sail away after her command, Anika waited for her youngest devar to come to her room. She had packed her clothes, but was worried about what to tell Rudra, the most volatile of the Shivika shippers. Shivaay and she had agreed to keep the fact they were not actually divorcing a secret from the others, for now. Playing up the divorce drama so their enemies believed that their breakup was permanent and devastating was part of the plan. But Anika didn't like deceiving Rudra.
"Bhabi, chaliye, I have your room all ready! You'll like it, it's across the landing, facing the back gardens. View bhi acchi hai, aapko pasand ayega, I guarantee." Rudra cheerfully hauled up her bags, and sauntered out of Shivaay's bedroom. Anika of course knew she would be expected to leave Shivaay's bedroom. The two of them had talked about it even before Tia had shown up with her triumphant gloating. After all, she had signed the papers, though, of course, Shivaay had not. It was expected that Anika would not be living with her "to be ex-husband" in his room now.
But Anika didn't expect Rudra to be so...okay with it. He didn't know right? And even if he knew, why was he so happy about getting his Bhabhi out of Shivaay's room? Running to keep up with him, Anika was hurt by how easily he was taking her leaving Shivaay's bedroom for the guest suites. Was this the same Rudra who had battled Tia to help his Anika Bhabi on her wedding night? Babbling cheerfully about her new room, his gym room, the book "Room With A View," Soumya's kabsa of his room, etc, Rudra walked his sad Bhabi to her new quarters.
Tia, who had been secretly following them, was pleasantly surprised by Rudra's casual attitude. Clearly just the act of divorcing this low class girl was enough for Rudra and Omkara to fall in line. Once Shivaay made a decision, these two idiot brothers always supported him. Tia was finding the whole following thing--darting from pillar to pillar -- boring, and after two minutes of watching Anika wipe her eyes, while Rudra chattered, Tia left, to call her mother with this good news. The second she disappeared, Rudra hustled Anika into her room, throwing the bags onto the ground and racing to open the doors of the attached balcony.
Shivaay had scaled up the side of the Mansion, climbing three stories to reach his wife's new bedroom. His brothers, both of whom knew of his plans could only marvel at the insane-in-love Ishqbaaz who had replaced the cold, calculating machine they all knew. "I'll come to you every night, Anika. Balcony ka door open rakhna. I can get across the garden to reach you, that's why we chose this side of the Mansion for your new room. I've already told the others what our plan is. But you don't have to be afraid about moving here, you won't be alone. My promise on that..." Anika's tears quieted as she rocked in her husband's arms. Shivaay now lifted up her face to his, staring down at the ruby lips that trembled with shy awareness.
Fascinated, he let one finger trace the pouty contours of her mouth, his eyes darkening to stormy grey as hot desire throbbed in his blood. Rudra, a little teary eyed, and almost forgotten by the lovebirds, quickly spoke into the charged silence before he accidentally saw something that scarred him for life..."Bola tha, Anika Bhabi ..tumko yeh view acchi lagegi! Dekho, Bhaiya bhi yeh view kaise ghoor ghoor ke dekh raha hai.. "
The two instantly sprang apart, scarlet. Grinning, Rudra got his first Anika Bhabhi aur Shivaayy Bhaiya, couple wala joint "Shut Up Rudra!" for his troubles. He laughed, delighted. This was going to be so much fun!
