Loved this, I hope it plays out similarly on the show- oh, the possibilities!
DRABBLE TWO: YOU SHALL NOT COOK FOR HIM
"Anika...what the hell is this?" the low menace of Shivaay's tone made everyone at the dining table freeze. Everyone but his "to be ex-wife" who continued to serve him from a bowl. Shivaay raised his voice to a snarl: "I asked you something. What is this oily yellow crap?"
Anika glared at Shivaay, her face contorted into a scowl. "Alu Puri. You said I have to work as long as I'm here, until the divorce goes through. You said I need to help around the house. I don't want to stay here for free. So I made breakfast. Khaiye, shayad apka Baghad Billa wala mood better ho jai."
"Cook for others! Bother the others--Dadi, Mom, Omru, whatever! How DARE you serve me this..this..stuff?" Shivaay's anger reverberated out of him, as Anika stiffened, clearly ready for battle. Tia glanced at Omkara and Rudra, who were ignoring this latest display of the infamous SSO temper. Rudra tapped away on his phone while Omkara looked at the couple fighting across from him, face blank, calmly eating his breakfast.
Tia sighed happily, filled with satisfaction. Ever since Anika had come to this house, these two Obros had been her biggest issues, next to Shivaay's ridiculous obsession, of course. But since the news of the divorce had spread, the brothers had taken the whole matter just perfectly. It all went to show--Shivaay line mei, sab line mei. She went back to the show happening in front of her, as Anika shot back at an increasingly furious Shivaay.
"Bharatya item hai. Aapko pasand toh ayegi hi nahi. Angrez chala gaya uska cook ka paltu billu chor gaya." Anika said, and even Tia, gleefully watching the fight, drew in a deep breath at her sheer audacity. Shivaay turned alarmingly pale. Anika picked up her own plate, heaping enough onto it, for two people at least. This seemed to infuriate Shivaay even more, and that was when the cat-and-dog fighting really started.
The screaming at the breakfast table was getting operatic. It was more than what even Pinky Singh Oberoi could handle. The girl was his wife, after all, no matter how little Pinky liked her, and how much bechara Tia deserved that title. They had signed the divorce papers, true. But like Dadi-ji said, Anika was still his wife until the legal formalities were completed.
Anika had only made breakfast, and tried to serve him. It wasn't Anika's fault that she didn't know Shivaay hated potatoes. Pinky did appreciate that Anika had signed the papers with no fuss. So why did Shivaay have to treat her with so much anger? Ignore bhi kar sakti hai, naa? While Pinky was happy to see that Anika's dora dalna on her heera beta had ended, her son's behavior made her feel a little ..bad. To stop his yelling, Pinky quickly served Shivaay his Crepes Suzette with brandy sauce.
Tia preened. She'd had the Mansion chef make the orange flavored French crepes for Shivaay, knowing those were his favorite. The others at the table watched silently, as Anika finished loading her plate while Shivaay glared murder at her. Anika then grabbed her plate, tossed her hair, and left the dining room.
"Where do you think you are going? How dare you leave when I'm still talking to you?" Shivaay scraped his chair back, and stormed out after her.
"Shivaay, you can eat this, teri favorite French crepes hai. Tia ne banaye hai. Anika ko jaane de, usko nashta karne de, daatne ka zaroorat nahi hai, you don't..." Pinky spoke to air, since her volatile son had, as usual, ignored her and raced away. The distant slam of a bedroom door indicated where Anika had escaped, and where Shivaay had followed.
Pinky pointed at the Crepes Suzette on Shivaay's untouched plate, and asked Tia if she would take it up to him. Her son had not eating anything this morning. He would be hungry. Maybe if Tia..?? Tia gulped. Shivaay's ivory forehead had this one vein, and she had seen that vein throbbing fit to burst, when he stormed out after Anika. Who cared about his breakfast? Tia was not going to walk in there and get killed, caught between him and his victim. Tia quickly said no, and went on eating her own meal.
Pinky frowned, and then sighed. Maybe she should be nicer to Anika. The poor girl was her current bahu, after all, and no matter what, Shivaay had put Anika in this position. She had not run to sit at the mandap. Bechara ladki. The sooner the divorce went through, the better it would be for everyone, sach mei.

"Nahi dungi. Itni si bhi nahi. Woh chillane ka koi normal volume tha? Kaan phat gaya mera. Aur apne mere sath kitne mean act kiya! Aap jaiye. Aapki man pasand breakfast Susie Ka Creep enjoy ki jiye. Ab ke favorite breakfast hai. Woh international cheapde banaya hai. Yeh Indian khana mei khaungi.. Baghad Billa."
Pouting, Anika stood with her back to him, the plate holding both their breakfasts in her hand. Shivaay had already locked the door, and now he dropped to the ground, dragging his sulking wife down to the carpet with him. Wrapping his arms around her, he nuzzled her neck, whispering "I'm sorry, thoda loud ho gaya" and "Its Crepe Suzette, not Susie Ka Creep" with equal passion. Anika relaxed a little, leaning back, letting him feel her soften in his arms, and he grinned, victorious.
It was enough for him to reach and grab the plate from her hand, as she turned to face him, still within the circle of his arms. Quickly checking to make sure the door and windows were secure, Shivaay Singh Oberoi now made amends for his fake yelling at the dining table by feeding his adorable, sulky wife.
Anika sniffed haughtily and gave him bhav, Shivaay gave her puppy dog eyes and lovingly fed her the alu-puri from their plate. The smell of her favorite breakfast made her open her luscious lips, and it gave Shivaay Singh Oberoi more pleasure than a dozen business deals could do, when she gave in and let him take care of her. He fed her carefully, listening to her chatter, smiling into those cocoa eyes as she ate her breakfast.
