Dey was such an interesting subject...he could have done it when he was not shooting for Dangal during that time when he had put on weight...Not the least bit excited about this one. Why would anyone want to work with victor anyway?
I wish they had given this material to someone like Dibakar Banerjee and told him to go all out. With Aamir, he wouldn't have to worry about budget and the movie making its money back.
The results could have been truly spectacular. Look at brilliantly he painted Calcutta of the yore in DBB.
Instead we get the director of Dhoom series, who doesn't know anything about film-making or storytelling. How does he gets these big movies when you film-makers like Dibakar, Vikram, Anurag etc is beyond me.
Probably the first Aamir movie post TZP that I don't care about at all at this point (this included the movies he has produced like DB). And to think he could have done the Dey biopic instead...
