I have said in the past that Survi's character was one that was difficult for me to connect to, because not only did she lack an identity outside of Kartik and his world, but also because she was too perfect. What I did love about her was how the characterization of her love for Kartik was developed, written and enacted, and how the more complex emotions she portrayed was around her greatest strength and weakness, Kartik. There was a maturity in the character when it came to either her loving or hating Kartik, that was a great opportunity for Sonal to enact. Unfortunately, some of the ideas she had to save the day was, in my opinion, far fetched- obviously because Taayi's evil doings were of the same 😆

Survi, although was overall a far better character than grown up Kushi is. Kushi, like Survi lacks a proper individual identity, and any attempt at creating one (singing career aspirations) feels misplaced... how is it that our Kushi ended up wanting to pursue singing, and where did she learn it from, and what were the struggles she and Kartik had to endure to achieve the position she is in today? (Again, KarShi should be the main focus- not Kushi's love life, that should be the least of her concerns, especially being in the state she was and currently is in...

I am surprised Sonal is going with this rushed romance track with the unnecessary addition of physical intimacy... this is the same girl who voiced her opinion against the extensive focus of sexuality in Margarita with a Straw (I personally had no problem with it- the movie was great, and it was so nice to see the incorporation of a narrative of a woman living with CP and exploring her sexuality- my only critique would have been that the lead female character should have been played by someone who actually lives with CP... there are many people with disabilities who are actors too- but I still love Kalki😳).

I truly do admire Sonal as a person- She is young and has worked hard to get to develop her career, and is very open/public about her offscreen relationship with her BF while stating she is still not ready for marriage, while not being afraid to speak up about anything that she strongly believes in (whether she is in the right or wrong is not a part of this discussion)-- that is the narrative of many everyday young women today... her own story is more of one to look up to then that of her current character, Kushi. I wish actors would have more of a say in the story lines, and work towards making changes in them according to what they believe...If something doesn't seem realistic or seem to fit what you have learned to be of the character you portray, than best thing would be is to speak up and vouch for change... Actors/celebrities have so much more responsibilities today with so many young viewers looking up to them... and I truly do think Sonal is one of those people who recognizes that...

Kushi's character... going after Abhi seems more immature and is more like one of those little girl crushes... whereas even though Survi was 10 years Kartik's juniour and first realized her love for him at the tender age of 14... it seemed more realistic and mature of a story line- I would have only been concerned about KarVi's love story if Kartik too had reciprocated her feelings before she turned 18 😆

If anyone has anything to add, refute, or just share I would love to hear from you. I will try to come back when I can to continue this conversation if anyone wants to. Best!

Sad to see Khushi's character having turned out this way
Haven't watched the show since the leap, but from what I inferred from your post, the show is trying to throw in all the unnecessary romance & Zain's charm to make the show work & yet it seems devoid of all life. It's sad

" Kushi's character... going after Abhi seems more immature and is more like one of those little girl crushes... whereas even though Survi was 10 years Kartik's juniour and first realized her love for him at the tender age of 14... it seemed more realistic and mature of a story line- I would have only been concerned about KarVi's love story if Kartik too had reciprocated her feelings before she turned 18 "

About these lines,I agree with you.Survi was young but was mature enough to know it was love & living with Kartik, seeing a side of him like noone else is what made her fall for him.It was like you said more realistic & a mature take

😆😆 The last line of the paragraph though (In red )
