Pop-up: Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra to reunite for Sanjay Leela

Yes! Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra
fans can finally rejoice. The Don 2 jodi may
return to the big screen in 2018! Sanjay
Leela Bhansali has been planning Urdu poet-
lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi s biopic for quite
sometime now. Several names including
Irrfan Khan and Fawad Khan were in the
running to play Ludhianvi's role in the biopic
titled Gustakhiyan, which was announced
way back in 2015.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Bhansali
recently met the Raees actor last week to
handover the script of the biopic to SRK. SLB
apparently spoke to Shah Rukh on how he
would like to direct the actor in 2018. A
source close to the development was
quoted saying, "There is a lot of poetry in
the film and SRK has been reading Sahir's
ghazals and nazms."Though Shah Rukh
Khan hasn't signed Gustakhiyan, a source
close to the actor informed the tabloid that
he is in love with the script and is keen on
reuniting with the Bajirao Mastani
filmmaker. We also hear that Bhansali has
been spending a lot of time with SRK lately
discussing cinema.
We were hardly able to contain our
excitement when we found out that SRK and
SLB are reuniting and now we hear that the
filmmaker wants Priyanka Chopra to be a
part of Gustakiyan. The actress is in India at
the moment for a short break. While talking
to the press at a recent award ceremony,
the actress told that she will sign two
Bollywood projects before she returns to US.
A while ago, Filmfare reported saying that
one of PeeCee's most important meetings
was with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The two met
up to discuss Bhansali's next, a film on the
late lyricist-poet, Sahir Ludhianvi. And with
this development, we will get to see the
much awaited jodi of Shah Rukh Khan and
Priyanka Chopra on the big screen after a
gap of seven long years. Are you excited?
Gustakiyan will be Bhansali's next after
Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and
Shahid Kapoor's Padmavati and will go on
floors in 2018. The film will trace Sahir's
relationship with poetess-novelist Amrita
Pritam before he went on to court singer
actress Sudha Malhotra.

Gustakhiyan isn't directed by SLB, it's just produced by him. Will be direct by Jasmeet Dodhi. Kangana was excited to be directed by SLB so I guess that's for a different film.

Anyways for the longest time it's been Priyanka and Irrfan Khan for Gustakhiyan. Irrfan even said in an interview that he can't wait to play Sahir but the project is getting delayed and hinted it was because of Priyanka.

Media might be mixing up Priyanka-Irrfan and SRK-Kangana's projects.
