ACD goes to the hospital. Karthik mama first informs Madhan and then hindi la boss kooda samsarikiraru. 'Conscious' ndra varthai innikku atleast oru dozen times vandhadhu. ACD meets the doctor and seeks his permission to interrogate Shanthi. Doctor initially refuses but later on gives in. ACD goes inside and wakes up Shanthi 😃. Shanthi starts with her doubts abt Sams and goes on to narrate the entire sequence of the events leading to car-maram-damaal. ACD realises that it was an attempt for murder. When Shanthi tells him abt the bullet wound ACD subtracts 2 - 2 =0 😛 and realises it is Joe. Inspector Babu takes the vaakumoolam. Thookatha kalaichu & after questioning her so much, he advises her that she needs to take complete rest 😆 😆 Everyone should guess by now that next step JC gets a call from ACD 😉 and he calls up another policeman who signals to some people and voila - 4 men in military uniform???? run down the steps and get into the jeep.

ACD and the military men enter RK's office and enquire abt Sams alias Joe - RK is shocked and gives the required co operation. ACD and his men search Joe's room and asks RK for Joe's personal file. RK asks his staff to take a xerox copy and get the original, which he hands over to ACD. ACD tells RK abt Joe. 2 men enter and ACD abathama asks them 'ippo than vareengala?'( pinna avanga enna kadavu pinnala olinjittu irundhagalo?)
He asks them to take Joe's computer to cybercrime dept. ACD thanks RK and leaves. RK romba kalavarama nikkararu.

Meanwhile Raj goes in search of ACD.

ACD visits Joe's apartments with other policemen- they locate the house owner and ACD gives him a lecture - which I find correct in today's nilavaram- pl enquire a lot before u fix up a tenant 👏. He searches the apartments( other policemen vettiya nikaranga) and locates the swami photos and the maps behind ( how did Arjun miss these?) and takes them.

Raj meets ACD in his office and hands him over the CD saying Arjun came and gave him. Raj leaves. Enna policeda idhu? Arjun pathi sonna aala nalla visarikka venama? easya poga vittutaru? (puriyudhu puriyudhu - enquire pannalum ACD yai thittarome, pannalainalum koraipattukarome - enna ulagamada idhu 😃) He sees the contents of the disc and remembers Shanthi mentioning abt Lawrence.

RK asks for the duplicate file of Sams and calls up the recruitment agency which sent him. He finds that Samson was not sent by them - RK is shocked - freeze

Jan 4th:

ACD sees Joe and ennamo nerula partha madiri udane concludes Joe must hv killed W&W and Arjun must hv tagged him (onna, chinna vishayam kooda kandu pidikka maataanga, illaina noole illadha orediya kandu pidippanga😕 - che ennai ippadi polamba vecchutaangale....😡) Again he interrogates other security men in the hotel and looks into vehicle records.

Madhan gives laddu to Charu for 2 reasons - one Shanthi has recovered and second Arjun will be free shortly. He tells Charu all abt Joe and Charu tells him she will give him sweets when Joe is caught. All the time Priya is listening to all this as if she is hearing them for the first time - appo Shanthi veetula Priya thangalaiya?

ACD goes to meet Abi . Abi kindal adichufies that ACD is hiding Arjun and ACD asks her again abt Joe and informs her Joe is an international terrorist. The entire interaction between the two took place on the terrace. (For every dialogue each one would move from the right to left or left to right in front of the other - very very irritating😡- my cousin commented - idhe continousa ivanga nadandu poi irundha maadilerndu keeze vizhundu iruppanga😆)

Songi Commissioner officela meeting. ACD puts forth his points in detail all that Arjun must hv done - more or less he supports Arjun. Commissioner/JC kadupadichufy ACD that he can't conclude anything like this unless he arrests Joe or Arjun. Again seekiram pidikka erpadu etc etc....

Abi meets SKPD and advises him to mend his ways. She can't bear any thing bad happening to him as a daughter- figure. He tells her his story - When I was small , my mother didn't hv money to buy a toy, instead gave me money to buy a undiyal and I started saving coins and started enjoying the jingling sounds.

Abi - ippo naan kadhai kekka varalai ..

SKPD - illai kellu ( aama naanga varusha kanakka kettunde irukkome Abi.... neeyum kellu ma kellu) Afterwards I enjoyed earning by any means and even stealing from my mother and others and saving.

Abi - but money and wealth is not everything and u hv enough for 7 thalai murai ( why not 8 or 11?). Going after wealth is like using a bucket with a hole ( ore thathuva mazhai than)😆

SKPD - all relationships have limits, don't cross ur limit.You go now. She informs him abt how police is searching for Joe and he shud not be protecting him.

Abi leaves sadly and SKPD calls up jailer panneer. Panner informs Joe who is walking around while the other inmates are raking leaves. Joe takes the mobile while Priyan's friend Vijayan looks on - freeze

Roja and others, we had an interesting day today. Our hero Sherlock Durai is hot on the scent.

Incidentally, there was so much action today that some of the scenes may be out of order, and I found that the episode has not yet been posted online, so I am relying on my sometimes faulty memory. Bear with me.

SKPD is talking to Joe on the phone, telling him that the police are searching feverishly for him. Priyan's friend is listening and wondering why the policeman Panneer is giving him special favors.

The police and SWAT team raid an Internet browsing center and take the owner/operator into custody. ACD is informed of this over the phone, and he conveys this to JC. (How did they connect Joe with this particular Internet center? Did they tap into the computer of the person to whom he was sending messages? Forgive my ignorance, but this seemed far-fetched.)

Next, the police and ACD are shown marching into RK's office and talking to someone. He tells them that the person from the Cybercrime division has cracked Joe's computer, so they all march into Joe's office. They can see on Joe's computer an animated model of five or six cars going in the streets of Chennai, and a rifle is focused on one of them, and finally, one car is shown being blown up. Voila, the deductions are made, JC calls up his boss, hands over the phone to Sherlock, who tells the boss that Joe is an international terrorist who came to Chennai to assassinate the IATC chairman, Mr. Samuel Douglas.

SKPD is asking Kanakku why their paid man in the control room is not giving them any info. He asks Kanakku to dial the spy's number, and then the informer tells him that everyone is busy hunting down Joe. Next, SKPD calls his henchman, Panneer, and talks to Joe. Priyan's friend overhears and knows that Joe is in touch with the man who killed his friend's father. While SKPD is on the phone, CP enters the room, begins to eavesdrop, sees him looking her way, and walks away. SKPD hangs up, then asks her to get his charger from his room. CP tells him she will take his phone upstairs and put it in the charger upstairs, since the pin is broken downstairs. (No idea what this pin is) CP goes upstairs, notes down the number that SKPD was talking to earlier.

ACD's car draws up next to CP's, she tells him from the window that she has the number that SKPD was talking to, and hands it over to him. ACD calls up someone and asks them to trace the number.

JC's boss talks to RK and tells him that normally they would have held him for questioning since he has been harboring an international terrorist, but taking into view his reputation, his honesty, his patriotism (how did they know about that?), this is all they are going to do. RK admits that he goofed up, not believing Karthik and Shanthi when they told him that they were suspicious about Joe. He tells the Commish that the employment agency had sent him a list of candidates and Joe had inserted his name into the list, so he was not suspicious. Commish tells him that it is naive to take everyone on face value and trust them. RK agrees. (But does he really plan to act on it? He believes Abi all the time!)

ACD is informed that the phone number belongs to the man Panneer. He is told that Panneer is not in favor with anyone in the department, and he has been doing favors for the prisoners.

Prisoners are being transferred from one prison to another. Joe is shown with his hand cuffed to another prisoner, Priyan's friend. The van takes off. Meantime, ACD and company go to some police officer and ask him if he has seen Joe. He identifies Joe as the person who attacked a policeman in Maraimalainagar, and has been in jail since then. ACD remarks that he has cleverly been lying low in police custody, knowing that they were on the lookout for him, so he was in the one place they didn't think to search. ACD is informed that he has been moved to another prison facility.

Joe and 5 others - all handcuffed in pairs, including Priyan's friend who is handcuffed to Joe, are being taken to court in Chengalpattu. This is what Sherlock Durai and the Inspector with him are informed by the jail cheif. Sherlock Durai asks for the van number which is provided. Durai asks his Inspector to take Panneer ("Panneer's case?") in their custody and leaves him talking to the jail chief.

Durai comes out and drives away. Close up of Durai in his van, while another police jeep/van is following close by. Freeze.

Sorry folks, I had to go to someone's house today to help with some things. I just finished watching both shows online and I take my hat off to all those who watch online and update. It really, really tests your patience.

Anandham lived up to its name - for once.

8/1/08 Tuesday
Opening scene - ACD is talking to JC on the phone, they show the police jeep and the van with the prisoners behind it, then ACD is in his car and headed somewhere. The police jeep comes around a curve in the road (rocky countryside, wonder where they were headed!), and a rifle is shown being focused on the jeep. It comes in the cross hairs, the rifle is fired, and the driver is dead. The windshield is shattered, the policemen who come out are killed, and the jeep swerves and crashes. The policemen in the van come out, they are also killed, someone gets into the van, shoots at the shackles binding Joe and the guy next to him, then Joe and four other prisoners get behind the riders on motorbikes, and they are off. They part ways and Joe is brought to where a white car is waiting for him. He gets into the car and then he is shown changing from his prisoner's whites into a checked shirt, pants (some feat of agility here!), and all the while, shots of a police check post checking vehicles are being interspersed. A couple of autos, some guys on motorbikes, a couple of buses, meantime, Joe wears an artificial goatee and mustache, gold rimmed glasses, and then gets a handgun, which is being loaded. Next, his car is shown approaching the check post, the policeman looks at the occupants of the car, compares his face with the photo, does not ask him to show his face, and then the car is allowed to proceed. Then the policeman calls up ACD and briefs him, giving the license plate number of the car, make, model etc. ACD commends him for letting the car pass, and then he proceeds.

Joe's car comes around a bend in the round, and sharp shooters blow out the tires of the car. The occupants of the front seat are killed, then Joe whips out his handgun and shoots. One policeman is down, then the back doors are opened, more gunfire by the sharpshooters, Joe returns fire, and then Joe is down. Now ACD is shown marching toward the fallen Joe, who is turning, then he is picking up his handgun with both hands, and he is smartly gunned down by ACD. The other guy comes out with his hands up, and ACD shoots him also. Why? He could have been held and questioned, in any case, is there no rule against shooting an unarmed person who is already surrendering? Hmmm, maybe the rules are different in India, or is it in SunTV serials?

Now the place is alive with more police cars drawing up with their sirens blaring, JC and others come and they walk up to Joe's body. The camera focuses on a bullet hole on the right side of Joe's chest, if that was the fatal shot, I guess that is the location of Joe's heart! His heart was not in the right place, after all. The music in the background sounded like "Joe is finally dead..." I could be wrong here, it is not easy to listen and make out the so-called lyrics in the background.

Next, the newspapers and media are all full of the news that an international terrorist, who escaped from an Indonesian prison, has been killed by Tamil Nadu police, and people everywhere are reading and listening to the news bulletins.

A meeting has been convened in the police department, and the Commish is praising ACD for his bravery and shrewd thinking which has brought down Joe, and he talks of how the international police forces are all applauding him. Now ACD modestly acknowledges their praise, says that he could not have accomplished this mission without their support, encouragement, etc., etc. Everyone claps politely, including AC Shankar, then everyone walks out of the room, one more round of congratulations and JC tells ACD in everyone's presence that now he must investigate the link between SKPD and the jailer Panneerselvam. Next, ACD is feted with flowers. No press releases and interviews?

SKPD in his house, receives a call from someone who tells him that ACD is on his way to question him regarding a possible link between Joe and the dead Sivaraman, and he is afraid that ACD may cleverly trap SKPD. SKPD says that he is not afraid of ACD, but he finally agrees to go away before ACD arrives, so he tells Kanakku that he needs to go to Ennore and gets into the car, dismissing the security guys. As his car is about to go out, ACD's car draws up outside, blocking his way...

Neat!

Update for Wednesday, January 9

Scene 1: ACD draws up in his car, blocking the way for SKPD, who was trying to get away before ACD could come to question him about his connection with Joe. SKPD denies all knowledge of Joe, aka Samson. ACD asks him why he was making calls to Panneer, and SKPD says that it was in connection with organizing some kind of camp for the prisoners, and ACD was going to be invited for the inauguration. ACD warns him that he may well land up in jail by the time the camp is inaugurated.

ACD is talking to his lawyer who says that Joe was an international terrorist and the police are taking this case very seriously. Besides, ACD is in charge of this case, and everyone knows that he is a very strict officer, so the lawyer feels that ACD may well land up in jail. SKPD asks about taking anticipatory bail, but the lawyer says that the FIR must be filed first, and he advises SKPD to surrender to the courts. He says that it will be his responsibility to take care of SKPD from there onwards.

RK's house - Madhan is talking about the Joe case and how everyone is talking about it everywhere. Karthik talks about how they could have nabbed him earlier, but Madhan tells him that then their company's shares would have taken a beating (I didn't know that shares of RK Industries were being traded on the Sensex and BSE!) Shanthi is asked if she did not recognize Joe when they hired him, and she says that she had never seen Joe before he joined their company. They are all glad that Joe is dead, and as usual, RK tells them not to be glad that he is dead, since he was a young man who went astray and could have been saved (RK and his usual do-good philosophy). RK leaves to see the lawyer about Arjun's problems.

Someone is walking around at night and knocks on a door. Arjun opens the door, and his friend gives him the newspaper with the headlines about Joe's death after the chase. Arjun is angry that he has now lost his only way to prove that he did not murder Sivaraman. I guess he was thinking that if he approached Joe and asked him nicely, Joe would promptly confess to the murder.

Shanthi is making puris (I think!) and Anita is peeling the potatoes for masala (they didn't invite me to join them, so I have to make mine tomorrow). RK comes home. He asks Anita for coffee and says he has a headache. Anita touches his forehead, says that he is burning up, and says that she will take him to the doctor. While he is protesting, the phone rings, and Anita answers. After talking on the phone, she hurriedly leaves, giving Shanthi the medicines to be administered to RK. Both RK and Shanthi are puzzled over her hasty departure, and Shanthi guesses that she is probably on her way to see her MIL.

Abi returns home, late at night, and Nallan opens the door. Abi goes upstairs and there is someone in her room - Arjun. He goes straight for her throat (no idea why?) and asks her if she plans to say something incriminating since she is the only so-called witness to Sivaraman's murder. She says she will speak only the truth, but if he wishes it, she will say whatever he wants her to say. She says that RK mama has told her to say the truth, and Arjun warns her to say only what she actually saw and not what she thinks happened, or else, and he leaves. He jumps down the stairs, swings across and does some crazy maneuvers, where he could easily have run down the stairs, and pushes off. Abi is walking up and down in her room with her cell phone in her hands ....

Update for Thursday, January 10, 2008

Abi enters RK's house, sees Shanti sitting there, reading. She asks for RK Mama (Abi is always very polite these days, I haven't forgotten the time she stood outside and screamed "RK, where are you?"). Meantime, Madhan comes home, sees Abi's car and wonders what new scheme she is up to. RK comes down, Abi asks him what she should say when the police question her regarding Sivaraman's murder. She tells RK that Arjun had come to her house last night, and threatened her and told her to speak favorably when questioned. RK asks her why she didn't call him yesterday itself if he threatened her, and then he goes off on a tirade, saying what does Arjun think he is up to, threatening Abi (oh, poor dear Abi!), and he tells her that she should have called the police then itself. After Abi leaves, both Madhan and Shanti express their disbelief of Abi's version of the incident, and RK tells them that she is telling the truth, and Arjun should not have threatened her.

The police go to Srinivasan's house, see the lock on the gate, ask people in the vicinity but nobody has any info on his whereabouts. They go to Srini's son's house, and Ramya opens the door. His son flies into a rage, and denies any knowledge of Srini or his whereabouts, practically gets into a fight with the police officer. His wife and mother calm him down, and persuade the policeman that they do not know Srini's whereabouts, and they are living away from him because they disapprove of him and his actions. The officer gets Srini's office address and updates ACD on the happenings.

SKPD and Kanakku are waiting for someone. Kanakku tells him that Panneerselvam has been suspended. SKPD is bemoaning the fact that ACD seems to know his every move, and feels that Sivaraman is the cause of all his problems because he gave the gold bricks to SKPD, introduced Joe to SKPD, then Joe killed Sivaraman. He asks Kanakku where the bricks are, and Kanakku says it is in the spot where SKPD had asked them to be kept. AC Shankar walks in, and SKPD complains to him about ACD watching him like a hawk and somehow knowing all his actions. Shankar asks SKPD if his daughter is staying with him, and then deftly explains that previously SKPD was trying to get his daughter married to ACD, and now he is complaining about him! Finally, Shankar asks SKPD how he knows what is going on in the police department, and SKPD is totally confused! (So am I! Did I miss something there?)

Shanthi calls up ACD and asks if there has been any info regarding Arjun. ACD tells her that it is in arjun's interest to surrender to the police, and it is only because he trusts Shanthi and her family that he has not searched their house so far, but if need be, he will do so. Shanthi tells ACD that Arjun is hotheaded, but he will never do something like murdering Sivaraman. ACD once again reiterates the need for Arjun to surrender, and is curt with Shanthi. Shanthi looks a little concerned ....

Update for Friday, January 11, 2008

Abirami comes to see ACD and tells him that Arjun came to see her, told her to say that she did not see anything or else he will murder her just as he murdered Sivaraman. She plays the helpless female role and says that she did not call the police because she was so frightened and it was night.

AC Shankar goes to see the PWD Superintendent in Cuddalore. He asks him about Muthiah, and how the road - laying crew is selected and so on. The PWD guy fields the questions well, saying M came and asked for a job, and he has over 500 people working for him so he doesn't know their personal bio-data well, and in any case, it is only a road layer's job. If he didn't know Muthiah personally, how can he know M's daughter? All he knows is that it was his adoptive daughter, and she subsequently went to live with her real father. AC Shankar is frustrated and leaves. PWD calls up some police officer (Babu?) and relays the info.

Srini is polambufying to himself about Joe and why he got involved with those people when his peon walks in with his khaki dress. He tells the peon to get cash from the cashier and buy himself some colored clothes, since he doesn't like khaki any more. Peon is happy. Srini continues to mumble to himself, and the police come to take him for questioning. He starts rambling and blabbering, and goes with them.

Srini is being held in a dark room, with a single overhead bulb. He sees JC and ACD come in, and starts to stammer and blabber. ACD asks him where he has hidden the gold biscuits given by Sivaraman to Joe, and he turns to jello and blabbers some more. ACD says that he knew Sivaraman and S knew Joe, so it follows that he must know Joe (Obviously, ACD knows his commutative properties well!) Srini also knows his Algebra, and says that he was weak in Algebra in school, and used to omit those questions in the choice. Finally, they let him go but tell him to contact them if he comes to know anything about the gold.

Shanthi is serving breakfast (idlis and sambhar and chutney) to RK, Karthik, and Indu. The phone rings, it is a wrong number, then the woman from the laundry brings the ironed clothes, she tells her to leave the clothes by the door, and she will pay her later. She sounds all flustered and harried, so RK asks her why she is doing all the work by herself, and she says that the maid has gone to the store to get something. RK asks about Anita, and she says that Anita has gone out, but she doesn't know where. RK comments on Anita's strange behavior, and going out without telling her whereabouts, as she did two days back, and Shanthi says that she feels Anita has gone to meet Arjun. RK is concerned that if she goes to meet Arjun, who is in hiding from the police, and she is caught, what will happen to the family's honor and prestige (kudumba mariyadai!)? Shanthi and Karthik are looking at each other ....

Btw, what is with this new hair style of Shanthi's?

Thanks to everyone who has cheered me on through this week's updates. Luckily, we had an action scene this week, so nobody minded wading through my long updates!! Anyway, I now have a looooong break from Anandam. Anandam, adhu anandam (break thaan.)!

Sorry guys, please bear with me as I did this update in haste. It may not meet your expectations. I will try to do it better next time. )

Shanthi is doing some homework(writing in a file).(How come now RK, Shanthi live in one house, now?)
Anitha enters and asks her for a favour and Shanthi asks her not to be very formal.
Anitha: I want some money.
Shanthi: How much?
Anitha: Rs.50000.
Shanthi vaay polandhufies and asks anitha why she wants such a huge amount.Anitha says she will return the amount duly to her.
Shanthi says she doesn't have that much money with her on hand and suggests they can get the money from RK mama's office account. Anitha dodges that idea and says she wants only Shanthi to help. (appa thaane Shanthi will have some work as heroine to investigate Anitha's mysterious behaviour. For quite some time, she hasn't had a chance to prove her heroinic skills.)
Anitha is very demanding and aks how much shanthi has with her and shanthi says she has around 20 or25k. Anitha makes a big joke now and asks Shanthi for her jewellery to mortgage for the rest of the amount.
Shanthi: Are you joking?
Anitha: No anni. If I use my jewels, I have to explain to my mamiyar. Nobody will ask you any questions if you give your jewels to me.
Shanthi: Why do you need 50k now?
Anitha says it is avasara selavu and shanthi says she feels it is a secret selavu not a avasara selavu.
Anitha makes a sentimental move now and says she doesn't want the money if she has to tell her the reason for the need.
Shanthi then generously writes a check for 50k and Anitha is sweetly surprised that she got the whole amount and asks her how she managed to give her that much and Shanthi says she had it for her insurance and personal expenses etc and she will manage somehow. Anitha thanks and leaves. (insurance kum personal selavukkum ivlo money ya? ennamo ponga).
Shanthi loudly thinks," onnum puriyaliye. iva behaviour enna ore mystery ya irukke."
(appaadaa..ippa thaan namakku konjam scenes kidaikkum. idhaiyum kandu pidichu naama thaan heroine. madhan and other menfolk waste nu prove panniranum.)

Our kandhu with his 3 aasthaana sishyans. sevakumaaru etc..
kandhu: ennadaa, niyaayam pesalaamnu koottittu vandhuttu onnum pesaame nikkirengaleda. vaayile enna kozhukottaiyaa? sollungdaa giragam pudichavanungalaa." (What is the matter?)
3 sishyas discussing among themselves who would break the news to anne and anne yells at them to tell the matter or he will go the police. (Are they kids, to be scared of the police, just to tell something to kandhu? Kandhu is threatening them like how moms would tell their kids to eat or else cookie monster will come.)
Kandhu: dei, solli tholaingadaa, illennaa police case aayirum.
sevakumaru says,"anne, prachnaiye adhaanne. naanga velaiyai vittu ninralaamnu...."
Kandhu asks them the reason for quitting their job.
The sishyas tell him that they were with him just coz he knew some big shots. All those big shots are arrested by the police now. The police are investigating the sishyas and they are scared if they will be arrested and muttikku mutti thattufied by the police.
Kandhu says,"namma thozhille idhu sagajamdaa. I am there for you, even if the police arrest you."
Sishyas say if police investigate for money dealings, it is ok but police are investigating in a murder case.
kandhu is frustrated and tells them that thay are proving to him that when the pond is full, all the kokkus are there and when the pond dries, all the kokkus fly away.
Kandhu makes an emotional speech about how he treated them like brothers not as employees and he will take care of their future existance even after he dies. He says he hisses like a snake just to make money and he won't go to the extent of murdering someone. (kandhu anne, what happened to dhivya and Ramakrishna's murders?) If you want, I will quit this money dealing business. I will go to the streets and beg and kanju oothufy for u. I am not born with the business and I started as a boy who supplied tea for the police station."
kandhu says he has thirundhufied now. Then he throws the final stone which melts the sishyas, "If you trust me, stay with me or else you are free to go. Before you go, bind me with 4 stones and throw me in a cemetery."
All the sishyas ask for apology with tears in their eyes and vow that they will never leave him.
Kandhukkum manasu negizhndhuruchi.

Abirami's house:
The spy, Rajadurai, comes to meet Abi. Nallan receives him and Abi comes down. Rajadurai tells Abi that he has come to discuss an important matter and abi sends Nallan away. Nallan goes out in the garden. RD tells Abi that SKPD has some links with Joe. Abi asks if it is his assumption. RD says he saw with his own eyes that both met and spoke to each other.(apram maththavanga kannu mollaamaavaa paappaanga?)
RD tells Abi that he wants to quit the job of spying on SKPD. Abi asks if he is scared of SKPD's secretive activities.
RD tells her that he wants to start a detective agency business.
Abi says he is not smart enough to start the business coz he has no proof of SKPD and Joe's meeting. He should have taken some pic to show her that. RD asks him if he tells her that he has the pic, will she accept that he is fit enough to be a detective?
He says he has the pic and Abi asks him to give it to her. Here RD proves to be extra smart and says that she appointed him only for spying on SKPD and not to show any proof for anything. If he gives the pic to Abi, she can go and blackmail SKPD with that pic and moreover SKPD will find out that she was spying on him.
Abi accepts that he is smart and asks how much he wants for the pic (Abiya kokkaa?)and RD, in turn, pays a compliment to Abi that she is smart and he says he will come and meet her with his detective agency thirappu vizha invitation and then discuss about the deal. He leaves and Abi also leaves in her car somewhere. Nallan tries to find out about his meeting with abi and sarasu shuts him off and asks him to attend to his work.


JC, ACD in discussion:
JC: "It is a drawback for us that both Joe and sivaraman died without leaving us with enough info about them or the ones behind them like SKPD who helped them. Though we know that SKPD is a seasoned criminal but we don't have enough evidence to arrest him."
Inspector Babu arrives and informs that they have found where SR was staying.
JC: Is it? Good. Come on. Lets go.

JC and co arrive at SR's house and find that the house is locked. The house owner comes and JC asks him how he knew SR.
Houseowner tells them that he gave an advertisement in the newspaper about renting the house and though many people wanted to rent, SR was the only one who gave the full advance and did not even sign an agreement and accepted to pay whatever rent he was demanding.
Advice from JC to the houseowner: (same advice that Joe's hosueowner got) If someone agrees to pay more rent than others, doesn't it ring a bell to you that something is wrong about them?
Housewoner: I enquired SR and he said that he was from Nagerkoil and wanted a house to stay whenever he comes to chennai for business trips.
ACD Asks the houseowner where he is working and HO says he retired from Railway last year.
HO opens the house and the police search the house. ACD finds 2 cellphones, the others find a folder, dummy passports, and a picture of pechi paatti, abi and jammu with jammu's face circled in red. ACD tells JC that the pic must have been taken when the three of them had gone out(great discovery). He adds that, SR,thinking that Jammu is the real daughter of SKPD, he must
have arranged some henchmen to murder jammu, that's why the red circle on jammu's face.
ACD fiddles with the phone and finds out that SKPD has made 2 calls to SR, one at 9.30 am and one at9.45 am.According to postmortem reports, SR was murdered on Dec 21 at 10.30 am. JC feels that it is a good evidence but it is not good enough to arrest SKPD.JC instructs ACD to contact Charulatha and ask her abut SR's contacts.
JC asks them to make a list of the evidences seized and get a signature from the HO and then seal the house.

SKPD's house. SKPD near the pool on phone with someone. Abi enters. SKPD asks her what prediction she has brought for her that day and she asks him not to take what she says in a light manner. She says that he is making mistake after mistake and SKPD jokes and asks her if talking in a cell phone by the pool is a crime. She tells that his meeting Joe was a crime. SKPD
yells,"Joe, Joe, joe, I don't know him."
She tells him that he has made 2 phone calls to Joe on the day SR was murdered. She adds that Arjun has no contacts with SR and he has no motive for murdering him. SKPD has murdered SR with the help of Joe.
SKPD gets very angry and pallai kadichuttu, yells: "abiraamiiiiiiiiii..idhai vere yaaraavadhu sollirundhaa vettiruppen."
Abi says that murder is nothing new to him.
Abi tells him how she wants to save him coz she thinks of him as her father. She tells him that she has the evidence that he talked with Joe. (Flashback of Joe and SKPD meeting in vaazhai thoppu. But this is not evidence of phone call. They are meeting in person and talking to each other.ok, ok I shut my mouth.)
SKPD is shocked and freeze on his face.
