A few days ago we had reported about
how Aamir Khan had disclosed during a
media interaction that he wanted to show
Dangal to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
That may have not happened at least till the
time this article was written, but here's a
BollywoodLife EXCLUSIVE for you. We came
to know that he did hold a special screening
for Salman Khan's parents, Ranbir's
grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor, and their
friends. Like many of the critics who have
watched the movie and were bowled away
with Aamir Khan's performance, even
Salman Khan's parents were suitably
impressed with Dangal. If our sources are to
be believed, Salma Khan even called up
Aamir Khan to let him know how impressed
she was with his movie and his
performance.
However, the special screening had its share
of troubles. The preview was held at
Lightbox in Santa Cruz, Mumbai, and during
the middle of the screening, a few
protesters disrupted the show. If you are
thinking if the protests were with regards
to Aamir Khans infamous quit India'
statement that he made a few months back
when asked if our country is becoming
intolerant, well, it had nothing to do with
that. It actually didn't have anything to do
with Aamir Khan at all. From what we heard
from the onlookers present at the venue, the
protests were about the venue, i.e. Lightbox,
which was in the eye of a property dispute.
The preview theatre is said to be illegally
built in its present premises, and the
agitators were protesting against the same.
Thankfully, someone called the police who
dispersed the protestors and the screening
resumed peacefully afterwards.
Now that Salman Khan's parents have seen
Dangal and are said to be quite impressed
by it, we really want to ask them as to who
was a better wrestler this year - Aamir Khan
in this movie or their own son Salman Khan
in Sultan? Can you guess what their answer
will be?
