If we look at the OBros angle, Rudra idolizes Shivaay, and Omkara is not the least bit interested in taking over the empire; he is more than happy to have Shivaay handle it. From A-SSO angle, the latest segment where Shivaay says he has complete faith in Anika and no one should question her character kind of resembles Sita's character being doubted.
If this is what we think it is, we may or may not witness a metaphorical vanvas of ShivIka in the show in future. I'm not sure if my heart would be able to take that though😳

For now I just hope this Pinky does not turn into a Kaikeyi, ulta pulta ho jayega sab phir😳
Who is Tia though? I wonder 😆

Me too!
Maybe refraining from commenting on it was intelligent, as you can see, this post has already gotten hate 😕
A ShivIka Vanvaas would break my heart too. But I feel like that would be the most beautiful thing if it was well-executed - we know that NarBhi are fantastic actors, I just wish that the CVs could write to save their lives, though.
OMG, if Pinky turns into a Kalkeyi, I'm going to honestly cry. I hate vampish mother-in-laws so much - they don't make sense, and just add to the regressive feel of every saas bahu drama these days.

Shivaay is definitely Ram. The Lord that respected his wife so much. Shivaay can definitely not be him.

Om as Bharat can be relatable since both think before they act except under certain circumstances. But Rudra as Lakshman. I don't think so. The temper varies. And so does the way of thinking.

Coming to the ladies.. Anika and Maa Sita.. Please Innika. Please, do not insult Mata Sita. Sowmya as Urmila doesn't suit either. Urmila was a righteous lady. The only thing that can be credited is their knowledge.

But the story based off of Ramayan is relatable

While your comment is much appreciated, I kind of disagree with you.

When I said 'loosely based', I genuinely meant loosely based. The characters are not direct mirrors of their Ramayan counterparts, nor are they modern day representations. Rather, their characterisation is inspired from aforementioned Ramayan characters. So expecting them to be completely alike is really not what I was aiming for when I wrote this post.
Personality traits between Shivaay and Ram can be drawn - both protectors, both loyal, both compassionate, and both could do anything for their family. When you talk about Shivaay's lack of respect for Annika in comparison to Ram's respect for his wife, while that makes sense, do you really think that Shivaay won't respect her after the ONS misunderstanding is clear, and he falls in love with her?
Again, with Rudra, they aren't aiming to mould his character around Lakshman's, they are drawing inspiration from him.

Wow, you sound a tad bit resentful towards Annika (no comment on that). Anyhow, to think that a character being likened to another is an insult is a big stretch and I don't really know how to respond to that apart from the fact that I don't really agree with it! As for Saumya and Urmila, I have to accept what you say as default because I don't possess much information about her character, apart from her knowledge, which is where I made the Saumya connection from.

but it's not fair to compare ramayan and show's ONS MU...it can never be compared

First of all, Lord Ram never doubted Sita's purity...his only worry was his people wont accept sita as their queen...he was even ready to sacrifice his throne and leave with Sita but his brother were not ready to accept the throne

Sita knew very well that Ram trusted her, so she forgave him in her heart...but when Ram realized his mistake and asked her to return to kingdom...she preferred dying than returning to Ram who was her life

Sita never tolerated any disrespect shown towards women

Comparing Sita to Annika who was ready to be announced as his wife in reception after being humiliated is gross 🤢

and Mahaan is someone who scarifies for good ...not one who doesn't stand up against injustice/bad

Annika is not Mahaan ...she is just stupid

The first thing I said before I made the ONS statement was that it was far-fetched. However, I do think that it is slightly unfair to disregard someone else's opinion because in your eyes, it doesn't make sense.

I agree, but what was Sita accused of? Sleeping with Raavan, which if I am not too misinformed, is what Annika was accused of with Daksh. You're right about the Ram not doubting her thing, but what about the upcoming family doubt? Doesn't that sound like what the people of Ayodhya were doing? Anyhow, it comes down to how you view the situation, and you are not entitled to agree with my POV at all.

But, I replied to AngelicTomboy saying this, and I repeat it to you. The character's are loosely based of the Ramayan, expecting them to be completely alike would be completely insane because in theory, it would never work.

And I'm not going to reply to the Annika bashing.

So as was implied from the beginning, Ishqbaaaz is loosely based off the Ramayana.

The promised Vanvaas track only serves to confirm this. If we think character-wise, then as of yet, it seems that Shivaay represents Ram, Omkara represents Bharat, and Rudra represents Lakshman. During Ganesh Chathurthi, Annika mentions said characters too, which seems like a nod from the CVs in the Ramayana direction.
Shivaay-Ram
Annika-Sita
Omkara-Bharat
Omkara's Lead (currently non-existent)-Mandavi
Rudra-Lakshman
Saumya-Urmila

These all make sense.
Ram (Shivaay) is known for his heroism, while Bharat (Omkara) is often said to be even more virtuous and idealistic than Ram. Lakshman (Rudra) on the other hand, always has a slight lean towards Ram, and is seen always being loyal to him.
Sita (Annika) is the epitome of self-sacrifice, purity and courage, and Mandavi (Om's lead) and Urmila (Saumya) are either distant cousin (Om's lead), or sister (in Urmila's case) of Sita. This kind of addresses the long-lost sister track that we were all hoping for. Urmila (Saumya), is also known for her kindness, maturity and patience.
The relationships between said characters seem to make sense as well; for example, Rudra's love for Annika mirrors Lakshman's protection and loyalty towards Sita.
The characters all seems to be loose portrayals of the original characters; even the villains.

Bear with me, this is about to get really far-fetched!

Now, a main part of the Ramayana was the Vanvaas, and its aftermath. I don't want to get into the Ram-Bharat-Lakshman angle that much, apart from the fact that predictably, it will be Shivaay that leaves, and Omkara is left to take care of the Oberoi empire. If the Ramayana parallel is legit and will be followed, than Rudra, too, will leave with Shivaay.
The home front and the aftermath is what I really want to look at. While Ram is gone, Lakshman draws a protective boundary around Sita and tells her not to leave it. Kind-hearted Sita though, is lured out by Raavan and is abducted. Now let's just say, in terms of Ishqbaaaz, that Daksh is Raavan. Consequently, he tries to advance upon her, but she refuses. Eventually she gets rescued - you know the drill.
What I'm trying to point out is, that, doesn't this all sound familiar?
Was the ONS misunderstanding, and the kidnapping after it a deliberate homage to Sita's purity trial? Shivaay's misunderstanding mirrors Ram's, Annika's survival from the water-tank drowning could represent the trial by fire.
It's quite far-fetched, but I just found the parallel quite interesting.

If this is not a reflection from Sita's agnipariksha in the Ramayana, does that mean that there may be a possibility that we will see something like this in the future, after the Vanvaas?
Anyhow, this only serves to heighten my excitement for the promised Vanvaas track!

I thought the same about shivay being the ram

Aww don't do that..I don't post on IF as much as I used to because I mostly discuss (read vent/diss/cry/fangirl over😆) with my Twitter peeps, but this is a place to express your opinion regarding the show; as long as it is relevant and not prejudiced, nothing should stop you from doing that.
I know right? Nakuul and Surbhi are such fantastic actors❤️ Have you watched today's epi? Man Nakuul was amazing! Minus the weird tone he talks in (which he started using post-drunk epi and is so hard to get used to😳) I love his intense scenes..I wish today's episode wasn't so rushed though! It felt so weird😳
