Firstly, bhailog, napstermonster ka sala - buy your inhalers, vodka, whatever helps you with the hypertension we are going to suffer come January. Aage ka ride thoda bumpy hone ko hai. Personally, I have a request to Gul -- stop hating and trolling us, please. We don't spam your social media. We nice, in-offensive people stay inside our little forum. We don't deserve your shocks. Itna maat tarpao-- or soon, tumhari main problem with us fans will be that we are all dead, and no longer watching.
But lets take a look at this track, shanti se. First, please stop saying you'll quit. If you didn't quit after the forced marriage track with the shoe to the face, you will only quit this show when Star Plus turns off the lights and the third generation has pota potis. ***Here, there are SO MANY tracks dangling, (and a NEW FL in the wings) Gul has enough material for three shows. And the track record for speed has been pretty decent. TRP or not, she has a lot to get to. So we won't deal with this pregnancy for too long, maybe 3 weeks.
So here lets examine what will probably happen, and why it is actually a decent track to slog through, maybe even a twist on the ghissa pitta one:

(1) Anika /OmRu will not believe it. This is a given. She will know he has been cheated from day one by Tia. I hope she has a good laugh, though, because this is a great bookend to his accusation about her and Daksh. She will not need his stammered denials to know this is Tia, upto some Tia-giri. The OBros wont believe it either, for a different reason. They know their brother. In spite of all that dark sexual charisma, Shivaay Singh Oberoi is a traditional, conservative man. Gul's most "indian mard" hero. Om / Riddhima can have a live-in relationship, Rudra can have seventeen girlfriends.
But for himself, Shivaay has standards for what HE will do. Also, and this is key-- he is incredibly controlled. I have yet to see a man so deliberate on Indian TV. His dimaag has ruled his heart in all cases, but Anika's--and even there all the love in the world has not broken her essential middle class barrier for him to even admit to himself that he can like a girl like her. And even with her-- he has not tried to do a single thing, even in the middle of a drug induced hallucination-- his dimaag for sure rules his body. SSO is too ...well, COLD... to succumb to passion--even with the girl he is obsessed with, and thinks about constantly. And his brothers know it.
(2) Shivaay will not believe it. Even if SSO's slept around before, (I love these hypotheticals😆) it wont be with the kind of girl he is going to bring home as his bride. Good girls with NKK don't do this bad, bad thing. This is why in his head Anika could potentially be a s**t --she has no NKK to miraculously hold her legs together.
Its hypocritical, but Tia comes across as a "good" girl--and that image was needed for Shivaay to have settled on her in the first place. I won't doubt our guy has had a sex life himself -- why not? But Tia cant have one-- the girl who he can see as his wife. Nor, in an ideal world, can Anika -- who he can see as his love. To be with him, long term, the girl must be pavitra, and that means not even being available to HIM. When Tia tried to grope him, he froze. When he tried to romance Tia in his room (Anika /curtains), it was PG13 stuff my husband does before dinner. So he will not have initiated anything with Tia.
NOTE: Smitar reminds us--Tia confirmed that Shivaay and her are bhai-behen ke jaise, to Robin/Dushyant (PLZ note irony 😆) She assures poor Robin that Shivaay has never touched her "like that" and does not even see her in that way. What a ringing endorsement of coldness towards the woman you are marrying, Mr SSO! Veins pe sach me ice water hai !😆
(3) This is not the Immaculate Conception. For a man so in control of himself, and what he allows near him, Shivaay will know he has not done anything here. He doesn't get blind drunk, even the paan banaras wala was FULLY remembered by him--complete with video. He doesn't frequent parties, he leaves them to rescue Anika. He has very specific rules for what can happen under HIS roof. When Mallika crawled into his bed, he almost had a heart attack. And his beliefs are clearly outlined when Daksh says he will sleep with Anika---"How? You cant. You got engaged, not married." He knows his limits--and he calmly, coldly lives them.
(4) His family will not believe it. He will tell them he didn't do this. And they will believe him, even his mom. If Shivaay says its not possible--its not possible. No matter how angry they are, they know him. Unlike at the marriage scenes, where he didn't want them to be miserable, here he won't let them fawn over Tia because they think she is carrying the "vansh ka waris." Dadi certainly wont-and they aren't married--what waris?
For Shivaay this is a huge deal, the legitimacy of your family and lineage. He will be furious at anyone trying to trick him on this. You don't challenge him on this. Remember his reaction to Dev Chabra, Priyanka's suitor? That man at least had his father's blood, even if he was the kid of the father's mistress. And still, he got thrown out. Not good enough. Shivaay isn't about to let some cuckoo baby set up home in HIS "Naam Khoon Khandaan" nest. He won't let some random man's cells be imagined, for a second, as HIS child. So-- they'll all know--and still will be able to do nothing. And this helplessness was needed, to remove the last traces of Tia's influence on Pinky and Janvi. This will clear the way for Anika.
(5) Tia will be revealed. So, Tia is lying. And she won't be without plenty of damaging ammunition"the media where she is already his acknowledged bride, the society to whom he's introduced her as his wife. Her mother has left her at Oberoi Mansion, with her "husband," who has accepted her publicly. Great. Mrs Oberoi is pregnant-- quick work! For a family who's image is all, for a man who is so acutely conscious of his reputation, Tia / Mrs Kapoor has to do nothing more now than insist-- I am your wife as per the world beyond this Mansion. Prove it otherwise if you can. But for now, you have a 2 month deadline, otherwise the world will be watching you abandon your pregnant wife.
And Shivaay? He has made himself helpless here. Tia will of course demand Anika's divorce, exit and a quickie marriage with Tia. This will be his second blow, with his trusted Naam Khoon Khandan walos betraying him. He has, again, dug this particular grave with his own aristocratic hands.
(6) Why we'll love this: Redemption anyone? We know that Anika still does not matter enough for him to abandon his core principles. He feels guilt--but believes what he believes. He will absolutely try to justify himself to her re. Daksh all this week--dekh lena. Daksh was an exception, Shivaay is sorry for everything she suffered. But people of his class don't usually behave this way. Somewhere, he will think--Anika has made someone like me crazy, of course she's somehow unbalanced a weak guy like Daksh. Anika must speak to him, so he can explain. Its not ALL his fault!
But this betrayal? From the girl he actually chose, he championed, he is still set on marrying? This will be an internal breakdown, one which affects HIM. This is Shivaay's true redemption. To be trapped by the classiest girl he knows, who does not have one inch of the class a "sarak ka keeda" has. He is where he put Anika two weeks ago. To KNOW he has done nothing wrong, and still to be made to pay for it by tolerating Tia's lies. To have to bow his head quietly, before society, for now, because he cannot stop the lies. To have such a precious thing "fatherhood " made a mockery of. To have the guilt of knowing he brought this snake into their lives.
We've know he wont accept Anika as she is now. But to accept her later-- He will have to be broken. And this, frankly-- this will do it. This threatens not Anika, an outsider, but HIM, and the Oberois. It threatens the very bloodline and future of his family. And HE did it. If Tia had been revealed, all he'd have had to do is then is tell her to pack her bags and get out. she would be out the door, no mess or fuss. But this way--- the dirt is ON him.
Shivaay lied by giving Tia another woman's naam, Tia has turned around and is lying by giving him another man's khoon. Who is khandani here?
