Yesterday, we informed you about when the shoot for director Vijay Krishna Acharya's next titled Thugs Of Hindostan' will go on-floors.

And now, it's time to know who will be making the YRF film a melodious journey - none other than Shankar Ehsaan Loy! Oh yes, the trio, who have been receiving loads of compliments for their music in the recently released flick Mirzya', will be composing music for the Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer.

Thugs Of Hindostan' will go on=floors next year in February, and release on Diwali 2018.

I hope Vaani gets it. The only other name I heard floating around was Alia & I think that would be awful.

Oooh It's a period film. Intrigued. Is Hindostan the ship 1796 East Indiaman? If it is, this could be like my most awaited film. Is the film like Pirates of Caribbean? Anyways really looking forward to this. Aamir and Amitabh in one film together would be legendary

this movie is going to rock. the story is really good, british writer who wrote this novel was balanced and sympathetic. this is when Britishers feared thugee culture. there are few more roles that are important, I wish vaani would undo whatever it is ailing her face. She will suit this movie.

IMDB says-

A look at the lives of Imperial deceivers, thugs who stole from travelers, in India during the 1830s. Based on the novel 'Confessions of a Thug' by Philip Meadows Taylor.

Wiki says-

Confessions of a Thug is an English novel written by Philip Meadows Taylor in 1839 based on the Thuggee cult in British India. Ameer Ali, the anti-hero protagonist of Confessions of a Thug, was said to be based on a real Thug called Syeed Amir Ali (or Feringhea), whom the author was acquainted with.

Thuggee or tuggee refers to the acts of Thugs, an organised gang of professional robbers and murderers. Thugs travelled in groups across the Indian sub-continent for six hundred years.

So these were the Thugs of Hindostan of 1830s during British rule in India.

This film is going to be EPIC !!!

I am really really excited to watch this film. But Kriti Sanon is a poor choice. She can't act. I hope it's untrue or Aamir rethinks about this

Thugs of Hindostan with the stellar cast including Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan made headlines from the very start. And the latest update is that the makers are now on a hunt for the leading lady.

If sources are to be believed Kriti Sanon has emerged out as one of the top contenders for the role. Reportedly, Aamir Khan has also been talking out the possibility to star the 26-year-old in his inner circle.

Notably, the movie will have the pre-independence era in the background and will revolve around a group of thugs at the time of British India.
