Ok so i've been meaning to write this post since the post elena-vicky fiasco and am clearly late. so yeah this has nothing to go with the pregnancy track.
What exactly are the cvs trying to portray ?
First they make a headstrong sona a doormat in order to maybe show that one cannot expect people to change immediately and sona would maturely win ishwari and mami and neha over. they severly butcher her character, try to show that not all changes are bad and what not. The result ? ishwari and gang are STILL cold towards sona and hate her even more for all her efforts.
Enter elena, who makes NO change. Wakes up late, refuses to cook, balantly excludes gkb from plans, etc and guess what. EVERYBODY accepts her. Including taunt queen gkb. SO now you're showing that being your old self and not compromising earns you a position in the family ? Hell gkb even goes on to tell asha that sona is a stranger to the concepts of embracing and changing according to the in laws where as her own daughter in law is making no compromise at all ??
Jo sona comprise karte hue nahin kar payi woh elena ne bina compromise kar liya ? what's even happening ? dont get me wrong i do like elena's character but are the cvs going against their own concepts ?
