He is a proud, stubborn and very egoistical man who will stand alone if needed to justify his false ideas of NKK. The video did not in any way refute his ideologies of NKK they just brought out the truth about Annika not being party to this sham of a marriage and not being the one eager to take Tia's place.
That video is necessary for the phase 2 in breaking Shivvay's blind faith in NKK and people associated with it. The spoiler about the ONS MU and Shivvay accusing Annika about it is phase 2.
Tia being thrown out will have Daksh enter as Tia will use Daksh to rake up trouble. Of course she does not know he is the stalker but she knows that his reaction to the marriage will not be positive. I do not know if the kidnapping will happen or not but somehow in the next few episodes that should clear up as well.
Then comes phase 3. The final blow where Tia's truth comes out. This is the final nail in his NKK coffin and we have to remember here that the issue is not his love for Annika - any moron can see he does and the Pappu himself as much admits it. It is his inability to accept her because of her NKK. That is his journey - these are the pitfalls along that journey.
This is just the start of the whole false and hollow ideology he has about NKK coming down brick by brick and shaking the very foundations of his NKK chant. He is now truly isolated from his family and hence an easy pawn in Tia's hand. She had wanted that all along - to be able to control his mind. The only person who even bothers to talk to him after this is Annika who is trying to protect the family from his wrong judgement and decision of marrying Tia.
There is so much more that needs to happen and that is the redemption. Right now it looks like everything is kinda fast forwarding but that is because his redemption is more important and Annika walking out is more important. That is if it ever happens ...lol
This is so true he's such a stubborn man as packed with ego that he's not easily going to accept his fault.
As you said this video is to clear the status of Annika not being eager to sit in Tia place and that's where she's going to get more respect from the family mainly Pinky (Well she's also a version of Shivaay can't have lot of hope from her)
But Tia being thrown out from the OM that also on behalf of Annika must have Shivaay agreeing with her (a bit difficult to believe this)
May be the family members will be with Annika in throwing Tia out.
This will mark Daksh entry and he's going to create a new havoc.
If ever he kidnaps Annika and the kidnapping scene is well handle and not drag long it will show a new face of Shivaay when he's going to feel for Annika when he's going to be restless she's not at home.
Shivaay ego is coming down slowly as you said it is very much needed.
