They say the truth is bittersweet, but in his case it was more or all bitter.
Shivay Singh Oberoi couldn't have been more aghast. He had asked Anika to leave but he didn't expect she would. She evaporated from his life without leaving behind even a single trace, without a single word. Though he never acknowledged the fact, deep down in the core of his existence he knew she mattered. She is his wife dammit! She would always be, he thought.
When Om told him that Anika has left, he assumed that she had gone over to Sahil.
So he waited.
When she didn't return after a couple of hours, his prompt response was to check every place she'd go. But the irony of the situation was he didn't know where she'd go. She was his wife, but he didn't know her favorite color, the name of her friends or even her surname. He had feigned that such small details about a wife he'd never accept were not necessary to know. Right now, staring into the immaculate doom that lay ahead of him, he realized how wrong he had been.
He waited some more.
A few days after the incident, when dadi received a message that Anika was safe and she had chosen to leave he refused to believe. She would come back, reasoned his rational side.
"But what is she didn't?" questioned his heart.
"But she wouldn't leave without a word, would she...?"
...
When she didn't return after a couple of months, he decided he wouldn't wait anymore.
But he surprised himself when he tore up the divorce papers she had sent. That was the very instant when he came to know that he could wait for her. And he did.
He waited for an entire year, but she didn't come back. She might never.
There is always a choice, no matter how grueling the decision.
And she chose to leave.
"...Where are you Anika?"

I've been following this show since the beginning but I've never actually joined the forum.(I did now.) Yup, I was a lazy ass. However this current track had enough momentum to pull me out of hibernation. Anika is not an abla naari. She is strong. And it's high time that Shivay suffered. He does need to realize his mistake. Hence the story.
So where the heck is Anika..? Why did she leave..?
