update for 20/10/05

I am sorry but I saw very little of SGMP because I was watching FG results and Nach Baliye and did not realize till very late that sgmp had started. I will post a detailed update once I see the repeat on Saturday.

Chakraviuh

Theme for the day- I think for girls it was SD Burman songs

For boys- may be same but I am not sure

Judges for the day- Kumar Sanu and Anandi from kalyanji- anandji

Participants for the day- All the blue card holders

AS- Raktima, Keka, Himani

ID- Debojit and Irfan

JL- Sharib

The first contestant-

Raktima-She chose- Piya Bina from Abhimaan

Keka -Raat akeli hai from Jewel Theif- Seems like a good selection as she is a performer……,

The mentors praised her performance and ismail in particular thought that she modulated her voice accoding to the lines very well. JL said both the girls had performed very well. Aadesh said for him all three girls are good, he called himani next and said that she is unwell.

Himani – Himani said that though she is not well, she will give her 100% in the five minutes of the song. Her song- Rangeela re - She was very good, though she lacked the usual energy (not well), her control over sur, her softness was very good. As soon as her song finished, she fainted and had to be taken to a hospital as she had very low pressure. The mentors were all praise and said that inspite of ill health, Himani had performed very well.

Sharib – He chose tere mere sapne from guide –Very good singing- I never thought he was capable of singing this kind of song- but did very well…very good expression, good control over sur……..good tahraav which is I think trademark of a good singer. ID said that sharib did falter a bit but was overall very good. HR said that different voice can really do very well in the industry. AS said that sharib was completely immersed in his singing and did show a different style today.

Debojit- I think he sang- Ae tum yaad from Milee. I think he chose a good song but can't comment as did not see his singing.

Irfan- I only saw it in recap and I think he chose a very uncommon song on which Anandji commented that he should have chosen a better song.

The judges after much drama and some comments on the participants said that they would like to hear these singers again tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a round on Songs composed by HR

khufiya news that six contestants have been shortlisted...paresh from uk is one of them! Two out of these will go to the final round. These singers will be selected by the mentor who has got max votes........at present seems like HR....that means atleast aishwarya is coming back.

we must be atleast a week behind in the uk since last week they mentioned navratri and their show goes out on thurs and fri. its a shame we get edited version it makes it that hard to judge whether the right decisions were made when you cant really compare. i read somewhere that india get to see the uncut version too wish they did that here too.
