2016 has been a great year for Anushka Sharma. While her film Sultan with Salman Khan was a 300 crore grosser, both her film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and her portrayal of Alizeh (ADHM) also received a warm reception from the audience and critics.
In the December issue of GQ, Anushka spoke about her glorious run at the box-office and her plans for the upcoming year. "The general advice is to do as many films as possible because you never know what works. But I've only had one really big flop in my career - Bombay Velvet," said the actress.
Anushka, who co-founded production house Clean Slate Films in 2014, will also act in her second home production project, Phillauri, opposite Diljit Dosanjh. Next, she will be seen with SRK in Imtiaz Ali's tentatively titled The Ring and a small role in Sanjay Dutt's biopic.
"Things are happening very quickly for us. We're developing film scripts... Backing new talent. There's no pressure on us, no preconceived notions about the kind of films we should make," said Anushka about her production house.
Ms. Sharma has always been at the receiving end of vicious social media trolling. On how she faces the virtual lynch mob, the actress said, "On Twitter, people say things because they want to belong. We all feel insecure, but how you deal with it defines who you are, as well as the quality of your life."
