Look, this is actually prejudice from my side since I am commenting on someone who's actual position is still unknown to me.
If Durjoy Datta is still writing the screenplay of the show or not, I don't know.
But in either cases, I want to say something. And this is purely from a point of view of another writer.
Commitments, and personal achievements sometimes or I should say, many a times have to walk hand in hand. Sometimes one of the other thing is left behind to prioritize the other thing.
So many times my novel writing has to take a back burner because my commitments are eating me off. And I have to leave my personal achievement for my commitment. And that is the rule. Either don't commit and concentrate on what you want to achieve; or give your personal achievement a break and concentrate fully on the commitment, if both of them cannot do both together.
In either the case, If he has left writing for the show or if he is still the script writer of the show and is supervising or partially doing his job as a screenplay writer, the show is suffering and that is absolutely not being professional on his part.
I am not saying that he should not concentrate on the promotion of his book. It is fine. A 10-15 days break is bearable. for the show, it can all be stretched.
But now it's almost a month since all the shit in the show is going on. How long is it supposed to stretch? Krpkab is known for its fast paced story. Even bigger tracks are given a maximum of one month to go on, and this kitchen politics has been going on ever since Devakshi ki shaadi, that happened on the 30th of September. The whole of October and November has completed in the same loop. How long is it supposed to be stretched? Why wouldn't the viewers get bored out of the same drama. And saas giving taunts to the bahu everyday and bahu giving back to her saas once in a month. And the viewers rejoice that our FL is not a door mat...
How long? I ask with utter politeness, how long will this go on?
Why can't the tracks move in a more constructive pace? The story still has a lot of potential and tracks to touch. Not just the infertility track, or prenup, ishwari's insecurity, Neha-Ranveer, Riya-Ayaan, Elena-Vicky, Sona and Saurabh's new venture, but a lot like:-
Maamiji's burning of the house story,
Elena coming to the Dixit house as her daughter in law and probably set radha rani straight.
Neha striving for becoming a self independent lady,
riya's way of becoming more able married woman unlike neha, and she giving her own elder sister lessons to save her marriage,
Nikki opting for studying something out of the league, may be she wants to do modelling or learn acting and direction, instead of joining the family business. And explaining that life is a lot more than we think and the jobs still can be respectable.
probably saurabh dada doing good in his business and getting married someday, and a stark contrast of the mothers in law that asha and ishwari would be, both mothers starting from a middle class background to an upper middle class life and still being grounded,
Or sona giving a path breaking Avenue that pregnancy doesn't define motherhood. May be surrogacy or adoption, and she loving her child like a dear soul. Maybe months or years down the line she may conceive and showing the world and especially her in laws that blood doesn't define a mother's love. Both the children are as dear to her as had both of them been born out of her womb. A lesson to learn that not just the first child or a male child is subject to more love, both are equally eligible to get that.
Maybe ishu's insecurities regarding Dev giving a lot more time to his baby /babies. And Dev explaining that just like she had wanted her son's time when he was small; he also wants to spend more time with his child, probably more because he missed having a father and don't want his child to suffer the same or get just his/her mother's love.
May be Ishwari and Asha coming down to having cordial terms, more than being each other's samdhans. May be Asha giving her useful lessons out of life that may be Ishwari though being experienced may not have learnt.
May be Elena making Vicky a better person. May be his bonding with Maamaji begins to be more like a father and son.
May be Ishwari bonding nicely with her grand kids...
There are so so many tracks in this story, that even if they move in a fast pace like before, they still will be able to survive another year showing this wonderful show. There are so many tracks which without making the show look cliche and a regular saas bahu drama, will break so many cemented set norms of the Indian television industry and still will subtly touch all hearts without being such a high point drama.
All we need is a subtle, soft and lesser OTT drama. This show will start sparking yet again the way it used to be months ago...
I wish the writers and makers take this into account. The lost charm of the show will be back.
That is what I think.
PS: Sorry for such a long rant. I hope you haven't slept at yet... đ

Hi Aazeen! No I didn't fall asleep and I do understand where you are coming from. There is much scope for the story yet they keep going in circles rehashing the same old insecurities angle again and again.I can't comment on the authenticity of my source as they are just a bunch of people talking about the writer not working on the serial anymore.Lets hope, the story gets back on track before it begins to lose the loyal viewers :D
